MAC Haul #2

I have a small MAC haul for you today; I purchased everything via the MAC website. I have been buying a lot over the festive period, but I am still waiting for everything to arrive. Nevertheless, there will be more hauls coming soon. I didn’t buy that much because I didn’t want to go too crazy because I have my eye on a lot more products from other brands. I finally decided to get the Eye Kohl in Smolder (intense black) . I have heard about this eyeliner pencil for years, but after swatching I noticed that it is not quite as black as the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion . The UD pencil has a more creamy texture and a sort of glossy finish, which is probably why it is a slightly deeper black. I also got a Magic Dust Eyeshadow in Forward March (peachy gold shimmer) . It is from the Nutcracker Sweet Collection (Holiday 2016) and it was on sale at 30% off. Lastly, I received a FREE sample; I had a choice of three and decided to get the In Extreme Dimension

Serial Sampler #8

I recently received this sample but I have known about this scent for a while. What appealed to me most were the scent name and the bottle design. It is Mon Paris by Yves Saint Laurent and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. “An intoxicating white chypre to make you lose your senses. The sensuality of white petaled musk, enlightened by a vertiginous datura accord and balanced by the intensity of an exceptional patchouli. The trail of intense love. Peony accord - white musk - datura accord - patchouli essence.” It contains a mixture notes such as; Strawberry, Pear, Calone, Datura, Orange Blossom, Chinse Jasmine and Moss. It is quite a strong a vibrant scent. You can really smell the musk, berries, jasmine and orange blossom. It is a very nice fruity floral scent and it is suitable for all ages. Although it is a strong scent, it is not too overpowering or offensive. I actually really like the scent and I am considering purchasing a bottle. You ca

O.P.I Breakfast at Tiffany's Mini Mani Month Set

I heard that O.P.I would be releasing a Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection and I was really interesting in trying some shades, so when I was browsing the O.P.I website and came across this set, I snapped it up straight away! The packaging is like a white and lilac fashion book and it has a beauty advent calendar vibe. It is a sort of alternative to a beauty calendar. There are five rows with five shades covering two sides of the book. You can open the windows that cover the shades, but it will reveal all five shades, which is why it doesn’t quite pass as a calendar. Plus, you can’t actually take the bottles out like you would a beauty/chocolate calendar. You have to open the sides of the book and pull out the five separate plastic trays which hold the bottles. There seems to be a lot of wasted packaging this way. You get twenty-five 3.75ml bottles of Nail Lacquer and the set contains new shades from the Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection, and some old favourites already pa

Essie Winter 2016 Collection

I was browsing Boots.com for gift ideas and I came across an Essie offer. You got four of their full size (13.5ml) winter 2016 polishes for £17.50. I didn’t get to choose which shades myself but the ones they were offering looked beautiful and are probably the shades I would have chosen anyway. There are six shades in the collection overall; Getting Groovy, Go With the Flowy, Satin Sister, Oh Behave!, Party On A Platform and Ready to Boa. I four I received are:- Getting Groovy - metallic gold palladium Party On A Platform - London garnet red Oh Behave! - minx peach frost Ready to Boa - glistening bronzed mahogany The shades are absolutely gorgeous and my favourites are Getting Groovy and Oh Behave!. They are all perfect picks for Christmas and sadly the offer is no longer available, however you can still purchase the individual shades. ♥ ♥ ♥

Boots.com Haul #3

I have another Boots haul for you today. I bought some new items as well as re-purchasing a few essentials. I bought Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk , which is my favourite face cleanser and I have been using it for a few years now and love it. I also got a Soap & Glory For Daily Youth Foamy Moisture Face Wash because I want to try it with my electric face cleanser brush and I currently don’t have a foaming face wash to use with it. I received a free 200ml bottle of the Soap & Glory Drama Clean 5-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water because I spent more than £15.00 on Soap & Glory products. This is actually kind of funny, because I already use that product anyway and love it. I already have two full size bottles as back-ups. I bought a Sanctuary Classic Fragranced Candle and the matching Fragrance Diffuser . I actually wanted them in the Fig & Black Amber scent as it is my favourite, but they had already sold out and are no longer available to

Maybelline The Mega Plush Volum' Express Mascara

Everytime Maybelline bring out a new Volum’ Express mascara, I just have to go out a buy it. Especially when the £2 off introductory offer is on! The tube is a light turquoise colour with sheen and it has a shiny fuchsia band between the applicator and tube, which is the same colour as the writing. On the back of the tube there is also the brush type diagram. The brush is kind of barrel shaped with a point. The bristles are light and soft and made of some sort of fibre material. The formula is a glossy gel mousse. You get 9.6ml of product inside the tube and the shade I have is Black. This mascara is supposed to create massive volume and be soft to the touch. It should also be less harmful to your lashes because it has 40% less hard waxes, which means your lashes shouldn’t feel hard and dry, even when the product has dried. It is also Maybelline’s first gel mousse formulated mascara. I really like this mascara! I really love the Volum’ Express line of mascaras anyway and

Tarte X Hrush Achemyan Styled By Hrush Eye & Cheek Palette

I am reviewing this little gem today. I saw online a while ago that it would be released, but I wasn’t sure where it would be available in the UK. I was just browsing RosesBeautyStore, like I do most days, and saw this palette in the ‘new products’ section. I bought it straight away, no hesitation at all! This palette was put together by Hrush Achemyan, and she handpicked all of the shades so that they could complement any skin tone or eye colour. Hrush Achemyan is a self-taught make-up artist and has many celebrity followers. She also has her own brand, ‘Styled by Hrush’. She does a lot celebrities make-up for red carpet appearances, mostly the Kardashian girls, who I believe she is good friends with. The outer packaging for this palette is made of card and the actual packaging of the product is quite classy, but eye-catching. It kind of reminds me of a clutch bag/purse. It is quite small and is made of gold reflecting plastic, but the black pattern on the front has a

Zoella Beauty 'Secret Scenta' Mist Set

I was watching Zoella’s video about her new and upcoming Beauty and Lifestyle collections and saw that this gift set would be on offer for Christmas. I thought it would be perfect for me, as I have already tried two of the scents and I was interested in testing the other two and I didn’t want to risk purchasing a full size bottle of either straight away. This set actually shouldn’t be for sale yet, but apparently Superdrug have some sort of test sale policy where they can sell items a while before they are officially released to see how well they can sell. I find this arrangement a little odd, they must just want to be the first to sell stuff and get the exclusive! Either way, this policy allowed me to buy the gift set this month, even though it is a Christmas release. It’s name is also a play on the tradition, ‘Secret Santa’. The bottles are the same as the full size versions, but smaller and cuter. They are square shaped and made of glass with plastic caps. They all have the

Blog Sale & Updates

Hello. It’s been a very long time! I’ve been slacking for a long while as I have been really busy at work, I will hopefully be posting some more reviews very soon. Also, I did a declutter a few months ago and I have finally added a blog sale page, which went live at 20:30 last night. There are a lot of products up for sale. Please click this link to check out the sale: http://beccafun.blogspot.co.uk/p/blog-sale_23.html I am hoping to be a more active blogger and can’t wait to get rid of my sale bits, so I can make room for more! Don’t forget to check out my sale and maybe grab a bargain! ♥ ♥ ♥

Serial Sampler #7

I have had this sample for a while now and I still can’t decide whether to buy a bottle of it or not. It is Meow by Katy Perry and it is a 2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. It contains a mixture notes such as; Jasmine, Gardenia, Tangerine, Pear, Sandalwood and Musk. It kind of reminds me of the Viva La Juicy perfume. The fruit and floral notes really complement each other and it smells very feminine and fresh. As it reminds me of a perfume I already own, I will probably not purchase a bottle of this one, even though it is a less expensive alternative. You can buy it in 30ml (£25), 50ml (£29.50) and 100ml (£39) and it is available at AllBeauty.com and Sephora. What do you think of this perfume? ♥ ♥ ♥

Urban Decay Urban Essentials Eye Kit

I was browsing RosesBeautyStore and came across this set and bought it straight away. It is exactly the sort of set that appeals to me and Urban Decay doesn’t release kits/sets very often. The packaging for the kit is purple themed and kind of amethyst inspired. It has a card sleeve that you slide off to reveal the box itself, which is made of cardboard. It has a flip up lid with a magnetic close and when you lift it up there is a black insert which contains the seven products. Six of the products are full size and the seventh is a sample size. The insert can be removed and you can re-use the box. You get a 2ml sample tube of the Eyeshadow Primer Potion in the Original shade, which dries transparent. The full size 10ml tube is worth £16.00 and is available in three shades. I have used this primer before and already own a couple of tubes. It is a great primer and a trusted favourite of mine. You get three full size 1.5g eyeshadows, which retail for £14.00 each.
