Haul: A Trio of Treats

I made another nail polish order at CheapSmells.com and it arrived this morning. I made the order because they had an offer on Essie nail polishes; they were all £3.25 each, an ABSOLUTE STEAL! So I just had to buy them. I bought Size Matters (hot ruby red), Bachelorette Bash (creamy, juicy fuchsia) and Aruba Blue (frosty sapphire blue). I also wanted Bahama Mama, but they had sold out of that one! Plus I don’t think I really need that one, because I’ve already got something similar, but I keep hearing about it on YouTube and I love the name. Until the next post!

Superdrug.com Haul #2

Superdrug.com has a free shipping offer on until the 24 th October, so I decided to purchase a couple of items I could not find in my local store. Plus I found a 15% off offer, so I used that and saved £1.19 from my £7.99 order, making the overall total £6.80, which is not really a massive saving, but the shipping was free and I didn’t have to leave my house! I bought an MUA Undressed Palette for £3, they are actually £4, but MUA have a £1 off on some of their PRO palettes. Lastly I got a GOSH Defining Brow Gel for £4.99. I bought the palette to do a comparison with the Urban Decay Naked Palette, because the MUA Undressed Palette is near enough an exact dupe. The brow gel is just something to try out, because I can’t find the Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara anywhere. So new reviews shall be coming soon. Thanks for reading! J

Book Bargain!

I was shopping today and saw that a local bookstore had a clearance sale and most of the books were £1 each and I saw a couple I liked the look of, but I knew I wouldn’t read them straight away and I already have quite a few books I need to read and as I was on my way out of the store I noticed......... ELIXIR a novel by Hilary Duff. I had been wanting this book for a couple of years, but I had never seen it in any book store, plus it was expensive online and I tend to only read a book once and then get rid of it, so for that reason I usually buy books off eBay. The teaser says, “A soulmate for life ... or death. Clea Raymond has felt the glare of the spotlight her entire life. The daughter of a renowned surgeon and a prominent politician, Clea takes refuge in her career as a photojournalist; hiding behind her camera lens. But following Clea’s father disappearance while on a humanitarian mission, Clea’s photos begin to feature eerie, shadowy images of a strange and beaut...

Perfume Power! - Next 'Paradise'

I first smelt this perfume after receiving it in a mini gift set about ten years ago and I have loved it ever since. This 100ml size is my first bottle of it though, other than the tester/sample size. The bottle is quite tall and it is a sort of clutch bag shape if you turn it on its side. The bottle is a simple design and you can easily see how much perfume you have. On mine the spray pump sometimes gets stuck in the band around the neck of the bottle, but the problem is easily solved. I can’t find a specific note list anywhere for this perfume, but on Next’s site it is described as, "a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes". To me it smells really fruity and fresh. It is also multifunctional because it is quite strong and sexy, so perfect for a night out, but it is also not too overpowering and smells fresh and fruity enough for day time wear. It is actually an eau de toilette, which means that it is less concentrated, but I find that it is st...

Empties #1 - September 2012

I am going to share with you some products that I have used up over a period of time and tell you a bit about them and whether I liked them and whether I will re-purchase them or not. These were not used up in one month, but over several, but I’ll try and do monthly ones. In no particular order..... bliss Blood Orange + White Pepper Body Butter – 50ml I received this in a glossybox and it is the 50ml travel size and it smells really lovely. I don’t like orange scents, but this smelt really nice. It is paraben free and it really makes your body feel moisturised and the scent makes you feel clean. I used it on my arms and legs mostly. I really liked using this product, but I wouldn’t re-purchase it because I have three full size Soap & Glory body butters to use up and my favourite is Soap & Glory The Daily Smooth Body Butter, but if I ever fancy a change this one would be my first choice, maybe in the Lemon + Sage scent! £6.40 – click here!
