Graze - Box #6

Welcome to my second Graze delivery of the year. I was quite excited when I first opened it, even though I have tried one of the treats before.

A closer look at my treats.

Cracking Black Pepper Cashews

“Black pepper cashews, roasted cashews & redskin peanuts”

I have had cashews before and they are not my favourite, but the black pepper completely changes them and they are actually quite nice and the flavour is not too overpowering. I am not keen on the roasted cashews because they don’t really taste of anything and the bit of flavour they do have is very dry. Lastly, the peanuts are kind of strange. They kind of taste soily and dry, therefore I don’t like these.

My Thai

“Sweet chilli sauce with baked soy bites”

This was my first experience of this one and you can really smell the soy on the bites and they have a funny texture, but are really yummy. I didn’t try the chilli sauce because I didn’t like the scent and I am not big on sauces anyway.

“Crunchy rice crackers with cracked black pepper”

I have had these before and I love them! They are slightly spicy and very peppery. They taste amazing and are crunchy. They feel very naughty for a light and low calorie snack!

Pomodoro Rustichella

“Cheese croutons, tomato baguettes & tomato & herb almonds”

The croutons are very nice and the cheese flavour is not that strong at all. The tomato baguettes are kind of spicy and also very tasty. I don’t really like almonds, so I didn’t want to try them, but the tomato and herb flavouring really changes them. They taste lovely! I probably wouldn’t eat them if they were plain though.

Overall this was a great box! My favourite snack was the Cracking Black Peppercorn Crackers, because I have had them before and they are amazing. The Soy Bites were really good too. I enjoyed everything from the box apart from the chilli sauce and the redskin peanuts.

My Eye Primers: The Verdict!

It has taken me a long time to put this altogether, but I have finally done it! I decided I wanted to share my thoughts on eye primers I had tried and it turned out that I had ten, so I thought I would test them and find out which one worked best for me. I have split them into two categories (High End/Low End) and I aim to rank them from #1 to #10 on which is the longest wearing. Let’s look at the primers I will be testing. HIGH END URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION PRICE: £17.50 SIZE: 10ml SHADES: Original, Anti-ageing, Freebase, Eden, Fix, Minor Sin, Sin and Caffeine APPLICATION: Squeeze tube without a nozzle, but also has a sponge stick applicator PROMISES: Non-creasing, gives you vibrant eyeshadows WHERE TO BUY: UrbanDecay.co.uk (UK) & Sephora (USA) I like to think that this primer is my favourite as I love the packaging (purple is my favourite colour). It is potion bottle inspired and it is the first primer I remember ever seeing and wanting. The packa...

Perfume Power! - Next 'Paradise'

I first smelt this perfume after receiving it in a mini gift set about ten years ago and I have loved it ever since. This 100ml size is my first bottle of it though, other than the tester/sample size. The bottle is quite tall and it is a sort of clutch bag shape if you turn it on its side. The bottle is a simple design and you can easily see how much perfume you have. On mine the spray pump sometimes gets stuck in the band around the neck of the bottle, but the problem is easily solved. I can’t find a specific note list anywhere for this perfume, but on Next’s site it is described as, "a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes". To me it smells really fruity and fresh. It is also multifunctional because it is quite strong and sexy, so perfect for a night out, but it is also not too overpowering and smells fresh and fruity enough for day time wear. It is actually an eau de toilette, which means that it is less concentrated, but I find that it is st...

Oden's Eye Solmåne Eyeshadow Palette

I first heard of this indie brand through watching Angelika Oles’ beauty channel on YouTube. Oden’s Eye is a Swedish indie brand and they make Norse mythology themed products. This is one of two eyeshadow palettes I decided to purchase; I also picked up the two matching highlighter palettes.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and rectangular in shape. It is made out of cardboard and it has a sort of textured covering (like on pogs). The design and imagery is so unique to the brand. Solmåne means the sun and moon in Swedish. Sol represents the Sun Goddess and Måne represents the Moon God. Both Gods are represented on the packaging. There is a colour split of warm and cool toned shades (lavender, pink, orange & yellow) along with moon, star and Norse symbols. The wheel around the Gods is metallic gold, so it really reflects the light when you move the palette around. The eyeshadow shade names are printed on the back of the palette. The palette has a magnetic closing/opening, ...
