Collective Haul, For Real This Time!

I have a collective haul for you today, mostly nail polishes. I bought these items on several separate days, but I can’t remember exactly when, so I will group them based on where I purchased them from.

From Boots I bought Soap & Glory Hand Food, which is obviously a hand cream, for £4.85, which is a bit on the pricy side, but I am obsessed with Soap & Glory products and you do get 125ml of product. I also purchased Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It for £7.40 also pricy, it is a facial scrub and mask all in one and you get 125ml. I bought Barry M Lash Modelling mascara in black for £6.19, Nail Rock Nail Wraps for Children In Need in Pudsey White Polka Dot and Pudsey Black Polka Dot for £6.65 each. And lastly from Boots there was a 3 for 2 offer so I bought two 17 Wild Metallic Eyes in Wild Nude and Wild Bronze for £3.99 each and a 17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Royal Indigo, which would have been £2.99, but I got it for free because of the offer.
From Superdrug I bought an NYC Expert Last Nail Polish in 205 Boundless Berry for £2.59 and an NYC In A New York Color Quick Dry Nail Polish in Lincoln Square Lavender for £1.79.
From Morrisons I purchased three Glamour magazines for the free Nails Inc Nail Polishes, I bought three of the four shades in Victoria, Basil Street and Tate. The magazines were £2 each and I don’t read them so technically I got a full size Nails Inc Nail Polish for £2 from each purchase.

Lastly from eBay I bought three Marc Jacobs Daisy eau de toilette samples for £2.35. And from Wilkinson’s I bought some Skin Therapy Cotton Wool Pads for 42p.

My Eye Primers: The Verdict!

It has taken me a long time to put this altogether, but I have finally done it! I decided I wanted to share my thoughts on eye primers I had tried and it turned out that I had ten, so I thought I would test them and find out which one worked best for me. I have split them into two categories (High End/Low End) and I aim to rank them from #1 to #10 on which is the longest wearing. Let’s look at the primers I will be testing. HIGH END URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION PRICE: £17.50 SIZE: 10ml SHADES: Original, Anti-ageing, Freebase, Eden, Fix, Minor Sin, Sin and Caffeine APPLICATION: Squeeze tube without a nozzle, but also has a sponge stick applicator PROMISES: Non-creasing, gives you vibrant eyeshadows WHERE TO BUY: UrbanDecay.co.uk (UK) & Sephora (USA) I like to think that this primer is my favourite as I love the packaging (purple is my favourite colour). It is potion bottle inspired and it is the first primer I remember ever seeing and wanting. The packa...

Perfume Power! - Next 'Paradise'

I first smelt this perfume after receiving it in a mini gift set about ten years ago and I have loved it ever since. This 100ml size is my first bottle of it though, other than the tester/sample size. The bottle is quite tall and it is a sort of clutch bag shape if you turn it on its side. The bottle is a simple design and you can easily see how much perfume you have. On mine the spray pump sometimes gets stuck in the band around the neck of the bottle, but the problem is easily solved. I can’t find a specific note list anywhere for this perfume, but on Next’s site it is described as, "a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes". To me it smells really fruity and fresh. It is also multifunctional because it is quite strong and sexy, so perfect for a night out, but it is also not too overpowering and smells fresh and fruity enough for day time wear. It is actually an eau de toilette, which means that it is less concentrated, but I find that it is st...

Oden's Eye Solmåne Eyeshadow Palette

I first heard of this indie brand through watching Angelika Oles’ beauty channel on YouTube. Oden’s Eye is a Swedish indie brand and they make Norse mythology themed products. This is one of two eyeshadow palettes I decided to purchase; I also picked up the two matching highlighter palettes.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and rectangular in shape. It is made out of cardboard and it has a sort of textured covering (like on pogs). The design and imagery is so unique to the brand. Solmåne means the sun and moon in Swedish. Sol represents the Sun Goddess and Måne represents the Moon God. Both Gods are represented on the packaging. There is a colour split of warm and cool toned shades (lavender, pink, orange & yellow) along with moon, star and Norse symbols. The wheel around the Gods is metallic gold, so it really reflects the light when you move the palette around. The eyeshadow shade names are printed on the back of the palette. The palette has a magnetic closing/opening, ...
