Boxing Day Haul #1

There is always a Boxing Day sale, so I thought I would hit Boots and look at the discounted gift sets. To my disappointment there was no gift sets left of Soap & Glory, apart from the one I picked up. From Boots I picked up the Soap & Glory Heaven Nose gift set for £8 (was £16), which includes the 50ml perfume in Original Pink and a 150ml pot of their Righteous Butter. I must say the perfume is quite nice! I also picked up the Dove Glamour Essentials gift set for £5 (was £10), which includes a 250ml Summer Glow & Soft Shimmer Nourishing Lotion, 150ml Invisible Dry Anti Perspirant Deodorant and a Black Rose Double Compact Mirror. What sold me was the mirror because I thought it was pretty and I was looking for another compact mirror. The Dove products also come in a small black travel beauty bag. From Argos I reserved and picked up an Oral B Professional Care 1000 Electric Toothbrush for £27.99 (was £59.99). I also went to Tesco to get the complete Harry Pott...

NYX Haul #1

I actually purchased and received these items a few weeks ago, but I wanted to wait to haul them. Plus three of the items are going to be given as Christmas gifts, so I didn’t want a certain someone to see what I have bought them before tomorrow. So let’s get started! First off this group of items are from Love-Makeup.co.uk, but the other two items are from eBay. From Love-Makeup.co.uk I bought five NYX products. They include The Runway Collection Eye Palette in Velvet Rope for £10. This palette has very pretty purple shades, and I intend to give this as a gift for Christmas. The items I bought for myself are two Slide On Pencils in Esmeralda and Pretty Violet for £6.50 each, and these are shades I cannot find in my nearest drugstores and they are the type of shades I want and need in my ‘make-up collection’. Lastly I bought two Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils in Milk and Yogurt for £4.50 each and I have wanted Milk for ages and I saw Yogurt swatched and thought it looked pretty, ...

NOTD #1 - Christmas Party!

I have decided to do a quick Nail of the Night post, seeing as though it is my works Christmas party tonight. I used Barry M Nail Paint in 150 Red Glitter and then I used their Basecoat Topcoat & Nail Hardener in 54 Clear on top of the red glitter. I was going to use the 321 Gold Nail Effects over the top, but my sister stole that idea, plus I couldn’t be bothered. I did notice the glitter polishes dry a lot faster than the regular ones. FYI – It takes about 2 to 3 coats of the red glitter to get full coverage of the nail!

Hey Big Splendor!

I actually ordered this on Boots.com on the 18 th and I picked it up from store today. Because my Boots is small I thought I would order it online in case I don’t get hold of one seeing as though they were only being sold in the larger Boots stores. But I realised at the weekend that my store had a few to sell, so I was a bit peeved, but hay ho I was guaranteed mine anyway! So here’s what you get inside the big lovely bag! Clean On Me 500ml - £5.11 Clean On Me is a creamy moisturising shower gel which I have had before and it smells divine. I can really smell the mandarin in it, which I really like. It also has a built in body lotion. Calm One Calm All 500ml - £5.11 Calm One Calm All is a bubble bath with a built in body lotion, which contains lemon balm and mallow extracts and smells quite nice, kind of lemony. Pulp Friction 250ml - £8 Pulp Friction is a foamy fruity body scrub, which contains fig powder, pumice, peppermint oil and lemonad...

Boots Haul #1

Today I decided to grab a few items from Boots and I took advantage of two of their offers, how naughty of me, but, why not? First I picked up some Rimmel items, two of which are repurchases seeing as though I am nearly running out of the ones I currently have. I bought a Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer in 010 Ivory for £5.99, a Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent for £3.99 and lastly I thought I would try something new as Rimmel have a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment, so I received the Gently Eye Make Up Remover for FREE, but would have been £3.59 If there was no offer on. Last I picked up two items from 17, the Photo Flawless Skin Primer for £4.99 and the Falsifeye Mascara in Blackest Black for £6.49. If you purchased two or more items from 17 you received a FREE Electric Disco Purse Set, which includes three nail polishes, the Fast Finish Nail Polish in Nightshade, the High Gloss Nail Polish in Risky Red and the Nail Xtras Glitter Top Coat all 8ml, ...

EOTD #5 - Weekend Wonderer

I am wearing the exact same make-up as I wore yesterday, and I quite like it so I thought I would share it with you. I used the Urban Decay Naked Palette. Eyes:- For priming on the lid and lower lash line I used Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin .   I used the Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sidecar on my lid, Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Toasted in my crease and then Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Hustle on my outer corners. I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to highlight my inner corners and then on the lower lashline I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Toasted on the inner part and Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Hustle on the outer part and blended them together. I then lined my upper lashline with Rimmel Special Eyes Precision Eye Liner Pencil in 161 Black Magic and used this to line a third of my waterline. Lastly I applied three coats of my Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express Cat Eyes Mascara in Black to my upper lashes and one coat to my lower lashes. Lips:- For my lips I used...
