NOTD #2 - Jewelled Olympians

Hello there, I am going to an Olympic themed BBQ in a bit; it’s a bit late I know! I decided to use Barry M’s Nail Paint in Jewel Britannia, for the first time. I did three coats and used a top coat. It is more of an effect kind of polish, because you would need a few coats for it to be opaque, plus it is not just glitter, it has some kind of sequins in it too. It gives a really nice effect and it looks prettier in person (sorry for the scary photo!).

This shade is limited edition and was only sold online on BarryM.com and Boots.com for £2.99. It was released after the Queen’s Jubilee, but before the Olympics, so I think it is inspired by both historical events, seeing as though the colours are taken from the Union Jack and the name is similar to ‘Royal Britannia’!

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. Boots.com Haul #2 + Blog Sale Purchase

I thought I would share a haul with you today. I haven’t done one for a while but I recently ordered a few items from Boots and I wanted to let you know about it. I bought the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette , which includes two sample sachets of the deep cleansing gel. I have been waiting for something like this and I cannot wait to try it. I simply refuse to buy the Sigma version, plus I don’t think it needs to be that big. I also got a packet of the Oral-B Precision Clean Electric Toothbrush Heads because they were on offer and I got eight for the price of four.
