NOTD #4 - RED'y for St James!

I decided to share with you what I am wearing on my nails today. I haven’t painted my nails for months because they are not in great condition, so PLEASE forgive the terrible state of them in the photos. Also my camera was playing up, so the photos don’t show the red true to colour. When my nails are in better condition, I will re-take the photos for a new NOTD.

I used Nails Inc St James, which is described as a pillar box red shade. It only took one coat on each nail and I applied Barry M Basecoat Topcoat & Nail Hardener All-in-One Paint over the top and I should have really applied it before the red shade too, but I couldn’t be bothered as I actually painted them late last night before I went to bed!

My nails actually don’t look too bad in person, but my camera has a knack for picking up small details and exaggerating them! I may also do another NOTD for Christmas because I have a Barry M Nail Paint I have be saving for such an occasion.

Essie Winter 2016 Collection

I was browsing Boots.com for gift ideas and I came across an Essie offer. You got four of their full size (13.5ml) winter 2016 polishes for £17.50. I didn’t get to choose which shades myself but the ones they were offering looked beautiful and are probably the shades I would have chosen anyway. There are six shades in the collection overall; Getting Groovy, Go With the Flowy, Satin Sister, Oh Behave!, Party On A Platform and Ready to Boa. I four I received are:- Getting Groovy - metallic gold palladium Party On A Platform - London garnet red Oh Behave! - minx peach frost Ready to Boa - glistening bronzed mahogany The shades are absolutely gorgeous and my favourites are Getting Groovy and Oh Behave!. Natural Collection by Boots - Body Sprays

I bought these online a while ago, mainly because I was obsessed with finding an apple scented body spray and I found one from Natural Collection and then I saw two other scents I wanted to test. I got all three because they were not sold in my store and I knew they would smell nice and they can also be used as room and linen sprays. There are a total of six scents on the site at the moment. Wild Strawberry, which my sister had and we both didn’t like it because it was really strong and sickly sweet. I also tested the Ice Musk and I didn’t like it and I haven’t tried the Vanilla, but I’m not keen on vanilla scents anyway and I know I wouldn’t like it. The last one is Samphire and Sea Minerals, which I haven’t tried before, but it sounds nice and on reviews people have said it is really clean and fresh smelling, so I might have to go and have a sniff sometime. I think there are more scents, my Boots store only sell three or four and they are the scents I don’t like (Ice Musk and ...
