Blogmas #3 | RECIPE - Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Today I thought I would share with you a cookie recipe. I have only baked these once myself and they were delicious and too good of a recipe not to share. I found this recipe online and it is mean’t to be a take on a popular American cookie recipe.

Ingredients
125g Softened Butter
100g Light Soft Brown Sugar
125g Caster Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
225g Self-Raising Flour
Pinch of Salt
200g Chocolate Pieces

Method
1.    Preheat your oven to 180°c (fan)

2.    In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the softened butter, light brown soft sugar, caster sugar, the egg and vanilla extract and mix together with a wooden spoon.

3.    Add the self-raising flour and salt and mix again.

4.    When the mixture is smooth, add in the chocolate pieces (I use Cadbury’s chocolate buttons) and mix well.

5.    Use about a tablespoon of mixture per cookie and evenly spread the mixture on a grease paper lined baking tray. There is no need to flatten them as they will expand whilst in the oven baking.

6.    Bake them in the oven for 8 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

7.    When baked, remove them from the oven. Leave them too cool for 5 minutes to eat them warm or transfer them onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Will you be using this recipe to make some delicious cookies?

Boots.com Haul #2 + Blog Sale Purchase

I thought I would share a haul with you today. I haven’t done one for a while but I recently ordered a few items from Boots and I wanted to let you know about it. I bought the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette , which includes two sample sachets of the deep cleansing gel. I have been waiting for something like this and I cannot wait to try it. I simply refuse to buy the Sigma version, plus I don’t think it needs to be that big. I also got a packet of the Oral-B Precision Clean Electric Toothbrush Heads because they were on offer and I got eight for the price of four. I got four tubes of the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Hand Sanitiser because I absolutely love the scent and I wanted to put them in difference rooms so they are always to hand when needed. I bought a back-up of the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation , which is my favourite foundation and I use the shade 010 Light Porcelain. Lastly, I got the Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel in Clear. It is the second tube I...

Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipsticks in Old Flame & Camp Fire

I decided to buy these and give them ago after hearing good things about them online, there is also a great shade selection. My current favourite lipsticks are the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks and I wanted to see how these DOC ones would compare. Old Flame - warm rusty orange Camp Fire - burnt sienna These creamy matte liquid lipsticks are mean’t to be rich in colour, long wearing and dry down to a velvety, comfortable and matte finish. You should exfoliate your lips prior to application and avoid consuming oily/greasy foods once applied. You can purchase them for £18.00 ($18.00) each from DoseofColors.com and BeautyBay.com. They are also cruelty-free and vegan. My First Impressions The packaging is like the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks and the actual formula of the DOC liquid lipsticks kind of reminds me of the JSC ones too. The formula is more of a cream rather than liquid, unlike the JSC’s ones. The formula comes out kind ...
