Empties #10 - August & September 2013

I have combined two month’s worth of empties again. At the end of August my box wasn’t that full, so I decided to carry on collecting and hope I use up more stuff. The majority of stuff I used up was necessities as usual, but there are some extra bits too. Here is what I managed to use up within two months:- Morrisons So Clear Dual Action Moisturiser | 100ml I have used another tube of this and have already re-purchased it. It works really well and doubles as a hand cream and most importantly, it is very inexpensive. Price - £1.49 Listerine Total Care Mouthwash in Clean Mint (Purple) | 500ml This is my favourite mouthwash and I have already re-purchased it. Although I get it for around £2.99, I still wish it was cheaper. Price - £4.60 Right Guard Women Total Defence 5 48H Invisible Power Anti-Perspirant Deodorant | 150ml + 250ml I have used more of these as usual and I still haven’t found anything that is better. I have however found a cheaper place to buy it f...

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters

These were first launched in the USA and I remember waiting for a while for them to arrive in the UK. When they finally arrived I knew I had to try them out. I waited until they were on offer at £5.99 and I wanted to pick shades I knew I would wear and because they are not lipsticks I thought I would be safe to pick up a brighter colour I wouldn’t usually choose. The packaging is made of plastic and has a sort of quilted design on two sides of four and the colour of the packaging corresponds to the shade it is housing. The base is black plastic, which has the shade sticker. The cylindrical tube the product is dispensed from is made of reflective silver plastic. To dispense the product, you pull the packaging off and twist the base. The butter is slanted in shape and has a flat base. It is a gel formula with mango, shea and cocoa butter. You get 2.5g of product in each tube. There are many shades ranging from light to dark, but I currently only have two. The two shades I have...

Urban Decay Lip Junkies

I have two shades of this product and the first I received in the Midnight Emergency Kit and the second one came with the Naked2 Palette . I was interested in trying them because I don’t like lipgloss and this kind claims to be non-sticky and colourful. The packaging is kind of shaped like a vial/test tube and it is made out of transparent plastic. The plastic is really soft, which enables you to squeeze it to dispense the product. The cap is also made of plastic and is a sort of grey colour with purple cut-out detailing. The cap twists off to reveal the squeeze and spread applicator. The formula should be soft and you get 10ml of product in each vial. I currently have two shades called Midnight Cowboy , which is a sparkly sheer nude in full size and Naked , which is a sheer neutral pink shade in a 3.23ml travel size. This lipgloss is meant to be non-sticky, long lasting and soft in texture. It should also give your lips luscious shine and have a scent that is minty fr...

Essie Summer Collection 2013

Naughty Nautical - marine blue/green (shimmer) Sunday Funday - tangerine coral crush (shimmer) The More The Merrier - juicy lime green (cream) Full Steam Ahead - pearlescent punch lilac (shimmer) This is a four piece mini collection and each polish is 5ml. The main collection contains six shades and the two not included are The Girls Are Out (sparkly fuchsia peony) and Rock The Boat (shimmering French blue). Lastly, I decided against doing nail swatches this time around because my nails are still looking worse for wear. The damn things will just not grow right! £11.95 | BeautyBay.com

Updates & Layout Change

Hello, I decided to change my layout theme today. It is not completely different, but it looks more professional. It took me a while because Blogger wouldn’t let me customise and I cleared the cache and it still didn’t work. But I eventually found a way and here we are. Over the next few days I am going to be editing old posts to tidy them up and I also hope to get new posts done. I plan to post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday when I have completed old edits, but I need more ideas. If you have any ideas for posts, please let me know in the comments section. That’s all the updates so far and I hope you have all enjoyed your weekend. I’m off to work later unfortunately, but then I have tomorrow off! See you later ♥

Chicken Poop?

Photo courtesy of TreeHugger.com I was looking at the Summer Sales on make-up websites and came across a brand called Chicken Poop. Yes, you read right the first time! Although an odd brand name, the brand uses all natural ingredients and is environmentally friend. I also must stress, NO product contains actual chicken faeces! “ Simone Chickenbone™ Natural Put-Ons™ are crafted from the kind of earth-friendly ingredients you want to put on your skin. Their raw zaniness inspires the kind of grin you love to put on your face. So be healthy. Be happy. Smile proudly and tell your friends you’ve got Chicken Poop™ on your lips! ” Quote courtesy of ILoveChickenPoop.com They currently don’t produce many products, but they have La Chick Poo Poo™ Lip Glacé , which is a range of shimmery tinted lip balms, Chicken Poop™ Lip Junk , which is a regular lip balm, Good Gravey™ Lotion Solid , which is a moisturiser for hands and body in puck form and lastly Kill It Dead™ Natural De...

My Unii Palette

I bought this palette a while ago and thought I would review it, as well as swatching the eyeshadows I have housed in it. I wanted one because it was popular at the time and I also wanted to depot some eyeshadows I had and needed somewhere to keep them. The palette I have is the colour Turquoise and it has aqua sparkles mixed with it and the Unii flower on the front. It is magnetised and comes with an adhesive magnet sheet with a writing label, a full sized mirror, moveable thumb grip, tight rubber seal and all is packaged inside a fold out instruction box. The palette is 15.5cm in length and 9cm in width. Inside My Unii Palette I am now going to go through what I have inside my palette. I currently only have eyeshadows in it, but you can put lipstick/gloss, blush, bronzer, powder and brushes inside it if you want to. Urban Decay ‘Smog’ - bronze with a copper and gold sheen Urban Decay ‘Minx’ - aqua green with teal shimmer Urban Decay ‘Gunmetal’ - blue based...
