Empties #11 - October & November 2013

I haven’t used too many products up this past couple of months. Most are just repeats, but there a few products I haven’t mentioned before.

Pearl Drops Ultimate Whitening Toothpolish | 50ml
This is the kind that claims to give you the ultimate Hollywood smile. It should make your teeth four shades whiter in three weeks. I haven’t noticed any difference at all and I have used it for a few months now. It is my first tube, so I am tempted to re-purchase and continue using for a while longer.
Price - £4.85

Soap & Glory Clean On Me™ Shower Gel | 500ml
This was not my first bottle of this scent and all of Soap & Glory’s body washes are amazing. They lather really well and last forever.
Price - £6

ASDA Little Angels Baby Wipes (Fragrance Free) | 64 wipes
I have used up several packets of these and will continue to do so.
Price - 87p

Wilko Body Spray in Dreamy | 75ml
This is my favourite cheap body spray, which is not from Impulse. It smells very fresh and fruity and lasts quite a while. I have been using this for years, but I will be holding back from re-purchasing because I really love Impulse and I still have a few more body sprays to use up. I have it reviewed here.
Price - 49p

Right Guard Women Total Defence 5 48H Invisible Power Anti-Perspirant Deodorant | 250ml
I am still, of course, using this deodorant! I haven’t yet found something that will beat it!
Price - £2+

Listerine Total Care Mouthwash in Clean Mint (Purple) | 500ml
I’m still using this.
Price - £4.60

Schwarzkopf Palette Intensive Cream Colour | 678 Ruby Red
I’ve used up yet another one of these. I love it!
Price - £3.98

Morrisons Total Care Breath Freshening Spray | 12.5ml
I’m still using this too.
Price - £2.50

MODELCO Fibre Lashxtend Mascara | 10ml
The packaging of this mascara is nice and it has a handy mirror on the back. The brush is not too big and the formula is so rich and glossy. It is packed with small fibres, which make your lashes defined, long, amplified and voluminous. It is not completely smudge-free, but the effects do last all day. It would recommend it, but I wouldn’t re-purchase because £28 is too hefty of a price for a mascara!
Price - £28

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush™ Body Scrub | 300ml
This was my first tub of this scrub and it smells divine! It works really well and makes your body feel nice and smooth. It is not too abrasive because it contains more oil than sugar and the grains are more separated. I actually prefer something more abrasive, like The Breakfast Scrub. I’m not certain whether I would re-purchase because I am still in love with The Breakfast Scrub, but this one has the better scent.
Price - £8

Barry M Lash Modelling Mascara | 8ml
The packaging is rather attractive and the formula doesn’t disappoint! When I first opened this mascara, I found that it made my lashes flat and just coated them black. After it had been it my collection a while, I decided to give it another go and what a difference the break has made too. It lengthens, defines, volumises and separates. It also leaves your lashes looking bold and clump-free. I would definitely recommend it and re-purchase it.
Price - £6.19

Glade Room Spray in Garden Sunshine (LE) | 275ml
This was my second can of this scent and I still love it. One more can to go and then it has gone forever! L
Price - £3

Morrisons So Clear Deep Clean Cleanser | 200ml
I have used up another bottle of this. This is a great cleanser and very inexpensive. It is currently my second favourite.
Price - £1.49

Glade Candle in Glistening Snow (LE) | 120g
I got this as a Christmas gift last year and I was saving it for when my bedroom has been redecorated. My bedroom still hasn’t been done and I decided to use this one first because I had bought many more Glade candles for the same reason. It smells beautiful and spicy. It was limited edition for Christmas 2012, but there are many more amazing Glade scents. They last for thirty hours and you can re-use the jar they come in and each comes in a different colour. They are a bit pricy, but you are getting a candle and pretty jar. They are sometimes on offer in supermarkets, which is why I stocked up! Glade, PLEASE release more new scents!
Price - £5

Boots Natural Collection Body Spray in Mango & Papaya | 150ml
I have finally used this up! I have had it for a quite a while and it was one of three I originally had. I gave the other two away because I got bored of one and I didn’t like the other. This one obviously smells of mango and papaya, which means it, is very fruity. It also reminds me of a fizzy drink and it has the funky orange colour to match. It does last for quite a while and it is not too heavy. I probably wouldn’t re-purchase because I prefer aerosol body sprays. I would also have to buy it online because my local Boots store doesn’t stock this particular scent.
Price - £2

I hope you found some of my views on the products helpful. It has taken me a while to use some of these items up. I now have to go and recycling everything! The next empties post will be a single month one.

Thank You & Bye

Jouer Skinny Dip Palette

I first saw this palette when Jouer released their Skinny Dip make-up collection and I nearly bought it, but I changed my mind because I already have a million palettes. As you can see, I have changed my mind again and I am very glad that I did. The packaging is quite compact. It is made out of reflective foil gold cardboard and the typography is simple. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift to reveal a small rectangular mirror on one side and then the six eyeshadow pans on the other. The shade names are written underneath each pan. You get six ultra-foil shimmer eyeshadows in blinding shades with a net weight of 7.5g. The sixth shade is actually described as more of a glitter shade. STAR LIGHT - platinum BIKINI - champagne pink SKINNY DIP - champagne gold TAN LINES - antique bronze MAGIC HOUR - warm taupe MIDNIGHT SWIM - cocoa bronze The eyeshadows should be highly pigmented, have an intense shimmery and metallic finish, be long wearing and cre

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up

Wake Me Up Foundation I bought this after seeing the advertisement for it on Rimmel’s Facebook, and I thought the description sounded perfect for me. The packaging is made of glass and it has a curved shape, with the Rimmel logo and product name printed in the centre on a bit of plastic tape. The cap is a slanted block shape made of plastic and it is a bright orange colour with glitter sparkle. This product has an orange plastic pump, which dispenses the product. All the relevant information is printed on the back, like most products. It is also packaged in a plastic wrapper, with a security tag. This product is marketed as a foundation that “instantly reawakens skin, with a healthy, radiant glow”. It is also mean’t to be light weight and give a poreless and flawless complexion. It also contains SPF15 for sun protection and illuminating pearls, which is mean’t to give your face a natural glow. It is also mean’t to “bounce your skin back to life” and banish the signs of fat
