Violet Voss X Nicol Concilio Palette

I have actually had this palette for a while now and I have finally got around to reviewing it.
This palette is a collaboration with a YouTuber called Nicol Concilio. She is a beauty influencer and that is all I really know about her.
The palette design is similar to the other VV palettes, but the colour scheme varies and it still has the holographic rainbow effect on the packaging. It has a rectangular shape to it and it is slightly bulky and has a little weight to it. It has a magnetic closing and when you lift the lid it reveals the eyeshadow pans and a mirror. The packaging colour scheme is foiled icy pink and polka dots.

You get twenty 36g eyeshadows in a variety of shades and finishes.
NYC - white
ZO-ZO - pale gold
BRUH - matte tan
PIZZA - matte light brown
MARS - matte red toned brown
DAISY - matte cream
HANGRY - medium matte brown
BLOU - light red toned brown
HEY GIRL - deep brown
CHAWWCOLATE - dark chocolate brown
GLORIOUS - rose gold
NICOL - dark brown
 SAGITTARIOUS - light brown
GIGI - bronze
PALM TREE - golden green
L.A - yellow gold
VICTORIA - dark gold
BOOP-BOP - matte brown
PINGY - shimmering navy blue
RETROGRADE - matte black

The eyeshadows should all be highly pigmented and enable smooth blending to create flawless looks.

I really enjoy this palette. The quality is outstanding, the shades are extremely pigmented, smooth to apply and they do blend out flawlessly. I do find the shade selection a little boring because a lot of the shades look the same in the pans, but onced swatched they do look different. I of course love the shimmery shades and the mattes are perfect too. This palette is great, but it doesn’t get me as excited as the Holy Grail palette. I have already picked up the new VV Hashtag Palette, so a review on that will come very soon.

My Eye Primers: The Verdict!

It has taken me a long time to put this altogether, but I have finally done it! I decided I wanted to share my thoughts on eye primers I had tried and it turned out that I had ten, so I thought I would test them and find out which one worked best for me. I have split them into two categories (High End/Low End) and I aim to rank them from #1 to #10 on which is the longest wearing. Let’s look at the primers I will be testing. HIGH END URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION PRICE: £17.50 SIZE: 10ml SHADES: Original, Anti-ageing, Freebase, Eden, Fix, Minor Sin, Sin and Caffeine APPLICATION: Squeeze tube without a nozzle, but also has a sponge stick applicator PROMISES: Non-creasing, gives you vibrant eyeshadows WHERE TO BUY: UrbanDecay.co.uk (UK) & Sephora (USA) I like to think that this primer is my favourite as I love the packaging (purple is my favourite colour). It is potion bottle inspired and it is the first primer I remember ever seeing and wanting. The packa...

Perfume Power! - Next 'Paradise'

I first smelt this perfume after receiving it in a mini gift set about ten years ago and I have loved it ever since. This 100ml size is my first bottle of it though, other than the tester/sample size. The bottle is quite tall and it is a sort of clutch bag shape if you turn it on its side. The bottle is a simple design and you can easily see how much perfume you have. On mine the spray pump sometimes gets stuck in the band around the neck of the bottle, but the problem is easily solved. I can’t find a specific note list anywhere for this perfume, but on Next’s site it is described as, "a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes". To me it smells really fruity and fresh. It is also multifunctional because it is quite strong and sexy, so perfect for a night out, but it is also not too overpowering and smells fresh and fruity enough for day time wear. It is actually an eau de toilette, which means that it is less concentrated, but I find that it is st...

Oden's Eye Solmåne Eyeshadow Palette

I first heard of this indie brand through watching Angelika Oles’ beauty channel on YouTube. Oden’s Eye is a Swedish indie brand and they make Norse mythology themed products. This is one of two eyeshadow palettes I decided to purchase; I also picked up the two matching highlighter palettes.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and rectangular in shape. It is made out of cardboard and it has a sort of textured covering (like on pogs). The design and imagery is so unique to the brand. Solmåne means the sun and moon in Swedish. Sol represents the Sun Goddess and Måne represents the Moon God. Both Gods are represented on the packaging. There is a colour split of warm and cool toned shades (lavender, pink, orange & yellow) along with moon, star and Norse symbols. The wheel around the Gods is metallic gold, so it really reflects the light when you move the palette around. The eyeshadow shade names are printed on the back of the palette. The palette has a magnetic closing/opening, ...
