Urban Decay Naked Palette DISCONTINUED!

I’m sure we all heard the sad news yesterday that Urban Decay have sadly decided to discontinue their original Naked Palette!

I was quite shocked to hear it because it is a very popular and famous neutral palette and I remember really wanting it when it was first released, but it was a while before I actually purchased it.

Apparently it has been around for 8 years now already and they have extended the Naked range vastly since then.

I actually only own the Naked Heat and the Naked Heat Petite Palettes from the range now. I used to have the original Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3, Naked Smoky and Naked Basics 2, but I got rid of them all because I wasn’t really using them and I had so many other palettes that give you a similar if not the same look.

I am really tempted to re-purchase the original again because it is being discontinued, but I think I will leave it. I have so many other palettes to play with and Urban Decay is already on a roll with releasing new palettes this year.

So long, farewell our beloved Naked Palette!

Review: Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil

This was the second eyebrow pencil I had ever tried because I wanted something that was inexpensive and maybe had an applicator with it. The product just looks like an eyeliner pencil, but on the side of the cap there is a grooming brush. The cap colour reflects the actual product colour. To apply it, you take off the cap and put it on the end of the pencil. You then just fill in your eyebrows like you would normally, just add more pressure to the pencil if you want a darker look. You can then turn the pencil upside down and use the brush. The formula is really soft and you can tell it has some wax built in to it. You get 1.4g of product and the shade I have is 002 Hazel , which is a light honey brown shade. This brow pencil is supposed to be brilliant for filling the gaps in your brows and great for lengthening your arc for a natural look. The colour should be long wearing and smudge-proof and the brush applicator should make it easy for you to groom and shape. I ...

Serial Sampler #33

I once sent off for a perfume sample from Lancôme on Facebook and periodically they still send me samples of their new perfume releases. I received this one a while ago (ages after it first launched), but I have only just got around to testing it.   It is Idôle by Lancôme and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.   Launched: 2019   Type: Floral Notes Top: Pear and Bergamot. Middle: Turkish Rose, Rose de Mai and Indian Jasmine. Base: White Musk and Vanilla. It is a really light spring time floral scent. It isn’t too mature smelling and it is not overpowering. It reminds me of the Gucci Flora and Hugo Boss Ma Vie perfumes a little. I can really smell the Bergamot, Rose, Jasmine and Musk notes. It is a fresh floral scent and would be good for day time wear. I do really like it, although it isn’t my typical choice of scent. I personally won’t be buying a bottle of it, but I would recommend it and buy it for someone as a gift.   You can purchase the L...

Review: Travalo Classic

I was sorting through some old pictures in my blog folder on my computer and I came across some Travalo pictures I took, and remembered I was mean’t to do a post about it. So better late than never, I am going to share with you how to use it and what I think. About the Travalo The Travalo is a small and handy perfume atomiser that allows you to decant a small amount of your favourite perfume into the tube and carry it with you, so you don’t have to carry around the bottle. It is made of strong, light aluminium and is 80mm in size and holds 4ml of liquid, which is approximately fifty sprays. It is also a “perfectly” rounded shape, which means there are no corners, so you don’t have to worry about it ripping your handbag, purse and pockets or scratching any furniture and surfaces. How to Use It If you want to decant some perfume to put in the Travalo you need to: 1. Take the spray cap off the perfume bottle 2. Get your Travalo and hold it upright over the spray s...
