Haul: Recent Purchases #1

I am going to share with you a few recent purchases I have made. I haven’t included necessities, such as, deodorant because they are repetitive, so I just decided to include make-up items and items I know will be mentioned in a blog post at some point.

I haven’t really bought much and to cut down reading time, I have simply included the name of the product, how much I bought it for and where I bought it from.

BY BEAUTY BAY New Romantic Palette

I first saw the tease post of this palette on Beauty Bay’s Instagram page on 29 th January and it was a black and white photo, so you couldn’t see the colour story but some of the shades names were a little bit of a giveaway to some possible shades (Raspberry, Flamingo and Khaki etc). On the 31 st January, they posted another tease photo of the shade Queen and this really when the colour story was confirmed. Serial Sampler #34

I’ve had this sample for a while now and I’ve only just decided to test it. I also have another sample of a spin-off scent from the same fragrance line, which I will post soon.   It is Candy by PRADA and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.   “ Prada Candy combines exceptionally high-quality ingredients in excessive proportions. Magnified by musks, noble benzoin comes together with a modern caramel accord to give the fragrance a truly unique signature ” Launched: 2011   Type: Oriental Vanilla Notes Top: Caramel. Middle: Musk and Powder. Base: Benzoin and Vanilla. I wasn’t expecting to like this fragrance when I looked at the notes and I was right! It smells kind of woody (burnt wood) and like celery. It is most definitely a spicy oriental scent and it is not me at all. It is quite strong, but it isn’t overpowering. I would say it is a unisex scent as it isn’t sweet.
