Serial Sampler #15

I have previously owned the original Lovestruck fragrance and I thought I would test this one because purple is my favourite colour and I love the bottle design.

It is Lovestruck Floral Rush by Vera Wang and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.

“Sparkling. Captivating. Unforgettable. A floral bouquet blooming with instant attraction”.

It contains a mixture notes such as; Champagne, Pink Pepper, Freesia, Marigold, Ambergris and Musk.

The champagne note is quite strong and it is definitely more floral than the original Lovestruck scent. The pink pepper note is also detectable and it gives you that spicy kind of scent. I don’t think it smells as fresh as the original but it is very nice. I think I prefer the original, but this version is more mature. I’m not sure if I want to purchase a full size bottle though!

Escada Collector's Edition Gift Set

I’ve always been interested in trying Escada fragrances, but there are so many to choose from and I didn’t want to risk buying a full size bottle. I came across this little gift set whilst I was shopping online at Boots and clicked buy straight away! All four fragrances are in a tiny, but cute 4ml potion looking bottle. Here are the four scents you get to try:- TURQUOISE SUMMER This bottle is a turquoise/clear theme and contains the notes; pineapple, strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, peach, violet, orange blossom, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. It smells really strong of orange blossom and kind of like a car air freshener. It does linger quite a while on the skin, but it is not really a strong scent. Overall I don’t like this scent. An advertisement popped up on Facebook with an offer of a free sample of this new fragrance and I clicked straight away! I have previously tested the original scent of this fragrance line and I loved it, so I was also expecting to like this one. It is Born In Roma Yellow Dream by Valentino and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. “ A floral lift of a thousand rose petals, twisted with a new clean and fresh addiction. ” Launched: 2021 Type: Floral / Feminine (Donna) Notes Top: Italian Lemon. Middle: Rose Essence. Base: Clean Accord and White Musks. This is a very soft and delicate floral scent with a fresh musk hint. It is definitely more floral smelling than the original Born In Roma fragrance. I can’t really detect the Italian Lemon. I can pick-up a fruity sort of hint, but it definitely isn’t lemon to me. I just wanted to share with you a few naughty purchases and I’m sure these won’t be the last of this month!
