Serial Sampler #21

I have another perfume sample to test today. It is a spin-off of an already cult favourite scent. I actually love the original and it is my current favourite perfume. I have already owned one spin off scent and I thought I would test this one out too.

It is Lady Million Empire by Paco Rabanne and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.

It contains a mixture of notes such as; Orange, Neroli Essence, Red Currant, Magnolia, Orange Blossom, Osmanthus, Mirabelle, Cognac, Patchouli and White Musk.

It smells nothing like the original Lady Million perfume, but it is nice. You get a hint of spice and it is kind of warm, soft, powdery and musky in one go. It is definitely more of a floral scent and it is not in your face and overpowering. The original one can be overpowering if you spray too much of it. The floral notes do kind of smell sparkly and fresh, if that makes sense? I get a slight hint of what I am guessing is the Cognac, but I have never actually smelled or tasted Cognac before so can’t confirm 100% if it is the hint I am getting. I feel like I can detect a slight cinnamon vibe, but it isn’t listed as an ingredient/note. Overall, it is a nice scent and I do like it, but I don’t think I will purchase a bottle and I do much prefer the original Lady Million scent over this one.

You can buy it in 30ml (£48), 50ml (£64.50) and 80ml (£82.50) and it is available at places such as; PacoRabanne.com, Boots and Sephora.

HUDA BEAUTY Purple Haze Obsessions Palette

I’ve previously only tried one HUDA BEAUTY mini palette before, but this one really caught my eye. I almost bought the Khaki version too. I eventually decided on only picking up the purple one as I wasn’t massively impressed with the Topaz Obsessions Palette I previously tried.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is made of translucent purple plastic and it is square shaped. It just has the palette branding across the front in place of a design and it has a clip closing, which you lift up to reveal the square eyeshadow pans arranged in threes across an opaque matte purple base. The eyeshadows do not have names. There is also a little mirror on the underside of the lid. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get nine 0.64g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME) and Shimmery Topper (ST) finishes.   ·          Smokey Shades ·          Buttery Mattes ·          Intense Metal...

Serial Sampler #42

I have wanted to try this fragrance for a very long time and I have seen the advertisements with Charlize Theron countless times over the years. For some reason, I just didn’t look for it to test so I thought it was about time I did. I decided to purchase a sample online.   It is J’adore by Christian Dior and it is a 1ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.   “ J’adore’s original composition is a sophisticated harmony blossoming from Comoro Islands Ylang-Ylang and Damascus Rose Essences and Jasmine Sambac Absolute. ” Launched: 1999   Type: Floral Fruity / Feminine Notes Top: Pear, Melon, Magnolia, Peach, Mandarin Orange and Bergamot. Middle: Jasmine, Lily-Of-The-Valley, Tuberose, Freesia, Rose, Orchid, Plum and Violet. Base: Musk, Vanilla, Blackberry and Cedar. My assumption before testing this fragrance is that it would smell like an old classic (old lady) floral. It is very floral, but you do get the hit of the fresh fruity notes. I can mostly detect the Magnoli...
