Boots.com Haul #1

I have another naughty haul for you today. It is kind of justified though and a couple of the products I have been waiting to buy for a long time.

Firstly I got two gift sets because they were still half price. I got the Dove Radiance Duo Gift Set, which includes two body washes in Revive Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena, Burst Nectarine & White Ginger and a shower puff. Soap & Glory Bubble Barrelled Gift Set, which includes six miniature sizes of Clean On Me, Hand Food, The Scrub of Your Life, Heel Genius, Glad Hair Day, The Righteous Butter and a headband, which all come inside a beautiful shower bag. For regular purchases I got the Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Peel Off Face Mask and Soap & Glory Rich and Foamous Body Wash. Lastly, I received two sample sachets of Nivea Cellular Anti-Age Skin Rejuvenation Day Cream.

I bought this order with the Boots Advantage Card Points I had been saving. I was waiting to get a wash bag from Soap & Glory, which is £16 and I happen to come across the gift set I got and thought it was a lot cheaper and prettier than the one I was going to get. Overall I am happy with my purchases and it didn’t really cost me anything. I also got it shipped to my local store for free, so all I needed to do was collect it on my way home from work!

Oden's Eye Solmåne Eyeshadow Palette

I first heard of this indie brand through watching Angelika Oles’ beauty channel on YouTube. Oden’s Eye is a Swedish indie brand and they make Norse mythology themed products. This is one of two eyeshadow palettes I decided to purchase; I also picked up the two matching highlighter palettes.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and rectangular in shape. It is made out of cardboard and it has a sort of textured covering (like on pogs). The design and imagery is so unique to the brand. Solmåne means the sun and moon in Swedish. Sol represents the Sun Goddess and Måne represents the Moon God. Both Gods are represented on the packaging. There is a colour split of warm and cool toned shades (lavender, pink, orange & yellow) along with moon, star and Norse symbols. The wheel around the Gods is metallic gold, so it really reflects the light when you move the palette around. The eyeshadow shade names are printed on the back of the palette. Too Faced Pumpkin Spice Palette

I first saw a preview of this palette in early August on the Trendmood Instagram page. I just knew I had to have it. I also own and love the Gingerbread Spice and Gingerbread Extra Spicy Palettes by Too Faced. These are the only types of holiday palettes that actually interest me from Too Faced. All of their other holiday palettes tend to be gimmicky (but pretty looking) and not good quality. THE PACKAGING The packaging is a rounded rectangular shaped tin in a beautiful pumpkin orange colour. The design on the front kind of looks like spread on a cracker. The name of the palette is printed in two different raised fonts. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift up to reveal the inside of the palette. The little rectangular eyeshadow pans are arranged across a metallic gold base, with the shade names printed in a small black font above each pan. Empties #10 - August & September 2013

I have combined two month’s worth of empties again. At the end of August my box wasn’t that full, so I decided to carry on collecting and hope I use up more stuff. The majority of stuff I used up was necessities as usual, but there are some extra bits too. Here is what I managed to use up within two months:- Morrisons So Clear Dual Action Moisturiser | 100ml I have used another tube of this and have already re-purchased it. It works really well and doubles as a hand cream and most importantly, it is very inexpensive. Price - £1.49 Listerine Total Care Mouthwash in Clean Mint (Purple) | 500ml This is my favourite mouthwash and I have already re-purchased it. Although I get it for around £2.99, I still wish it was cheaper.
