Charlotte Tilbury Bejewelled Eyes To Hypnotise Instant Eye Palette

I originally wanted to purchase this palette last year as I already had the Charlotte Tilbury Stars-In-Your-Eyes Palette, which is the same concept as this one but had a more neutral and bright sultry colour story. I actually ended up decluttering that palette, so I decided not to purchase this one just in case I ended up doing the same thing. A few days ago I was watching one of Angelika Oles videos on YouTube and she mentioned this palette and did a tutorial using it. I instantly changed my mind and set about purchasing the palette. It is limited edition and I believe it was released back in September 2020 so it was hard to find, I also didn’t really want to pay full price for it. I did a search on Depop and came across a reputable seller who was selling one brand new in packaging, so I snapped it up and here it is! THE PACKAGING The packaging is made of glittery silver plastic and it has a long, thin and rectangular shape. It has a silver starburst design across the front. I believe...

Serial Sampler #38

This scent isn’t actually new to me, but I thought I would post about it anyway. It is another sort of spin-off scent.   It is Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de toilette.   “ Ethereal and luminous, an irresistible fruity floral with delectable notes of blackberry, jasmine and wisteria ” Launched: 2014   Type: Floral Fruity Notes Top: Blackberry, Pear and Grapefruit. Middle: Wisteria, Litchi and Jasmine. Base: Musk, Coconut and White Wood. This is a very florally fresh scent with a fruit twist. It does actually smell dreamy to me! I can mostly smell the Blackberry, Grapefruit, Litchi and Musk notes. I have previously smelled this perfume as my sister used to have it and I love the bottle design. It is quite a light scent and it is not very strong as it settles down, I would usually prefer something stronger as I like to be able to smell it when I am wearing it. I would still definitely wear it and would look at purchasing it....

BY TERRY V.I.P. EXPERT Paris Mon Amour Palette

I believe this is the third V.I.P. Expert Palette that BY TERRY has released. I remember seeing two being released early last year and I almost bought one (Paris By Light), but I changed my mind because the shades are what I already have twice over. I remember this one being released at the end of last year and I decided not to purchase it for the same reasons as the last one, but as you can see I relented and it is really down to the design on the packaging. I am very drawn to anything that has the Eiffel Tower on it and I have always had an interest in France, even though I have only ever visited the country twice! The colour story is very appealing to me, even though it is not unique and the palette packaging is also purple, my favourite colour. Everything about the palette screams my name, but it isn’t something I needed or should have really bought! THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite small, rectangular and made of plastic. It has a purple metallic and mirrored plastic casing wit...

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow Duos

I have previously owned two Colourpop Super Shock Shadows (Sequin and Weenie) a few years ago and I remember not really liking them (I decluttered them in 2017). It was probably the shades I chose, but I don’t know if the formula has changed at all over the years. I decided to purchase two duos from two different collections and I received a third duo as a free gift. I know people tend to use the metallic and glitter ones as sort of toppers, so I decided to choose lighter shades so that they would pop more on the eyelids and inner corners.   ABOUT THE PRODUCT You get 2.1g of crème to powder eyeshadows in Matte (M), Ultra-Metallic (UM) and Ultra-Glitter (UG) finishes. They are housed inside little pots with a transparent twistable cap.   ·         Crème-Powder Formula ·         Bouncy Texture ·         Insane Pigmentation ·         Bold Met...

Serial Sampler #37

I’ve had this sample for a while now and I’ve only just decided to test it. I have already sampled the original scent of this fragrance line.   It is Candy Florale by PRADA and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de toilette.   “ Prada Candy Florale is the scent of the perfect imaginary flower that Prada has created for Candy. Inspired by the purest flower, the white cosmos, the fragrance reveals a tender and unexpected floral bouquet ” Launched: 2014   Type: Floral & Fruity Notes Top: Limoncello. Middle: Peony. Base: Honey, Caramel, Musk and Benzoin. I wasn’t expecting to like this fragrance as I didn’t like the original, but I was pleasantly surprised over how nice it smells. It is most definitely a floral scent with a slight fresh and fruity twist. It is not overpoweringly strong and I would say it is more of a feminine fragrance. It does have a slight sweetness but it isn’t too much. I can detect the Peony and Musk notes, but I cannot detect the Carame...

Oden's Eye Norn’s Mesmerizer Highlighters

When I saw that Oden’s Eye posted on their Instagram page about their new Norn’s Series Collection, I knew I would be making my second purchase of their products. The collection as a whole includes four eyeshadow palettes and three highlighters. The palettes all looked beautiful, but I knew I wouldn’t get much use out of them and I didn’t just want to buy them to swatch and post about and then not use again. I did want to buy all three highlighters, but I settled on the two that I would get most use out of. The one I didn’t choose is a stunning blue and silver shade and I just knew I wouldn’t wear it as much as the other two. I already own a few other blue highlighters and I hardly ever wear them. I believe only the three highlighters are limited edition and the eyeshadow palettes are all permanent. ABOUT THE PRODUCT In Norse mythology, three sisters (Norn’s) weave and guard the web of fate. They also attend the spring of life that supports the World Tree. The highlighters reflect the ...
