Serial Sampler #43

I decided to purchase a sample of this perfume online as I missed out on the free sample offer on Facebook (I had no idea it was being offered). Lady GaGa is the face of the advertising campaign for this fragrance and the television adverts feature a reworked snippet of her song ‘Sine From Above’.

It is Voce Viva by Valentino and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.

A couture and feminine bouquet of white flowers that gives Italian tradition a contemporary edge.

Launched: 2020

Type: Floral Woody Musk / Feminine

Notes
Top: Mandarin Orange, Bergamot and Ginger.
Middle: Orange Blossom and Gardenia.
Base: Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Musk, Sandalwood and Oakmoss.
This is a very soft floral scent and it smells lovely. It dries down very light and not overpowering, which is nice but I feel like it could be a little stronger as it smells quite weak on me. I can detect the Bergamot, Vanilla, Musk and Sandalwood notes. It is my type of floral scent even though there are not really any fruity notes. I probably would wear this scent. It smells like a perfume I have had before, so I wouldn’t say it is an original scent, but I do really like it and it reminds me of spring. I will definitely use up the sample, but I will not purchase a bottle anytime soon as I am still working my way through my current perfume collection. I would recommend that you give this one a sniff.

You can purchase the Valentino Voce Viva Eau De Parfum in 30ml (£55.00), 50ml (£77.00) and 100ml (£110.00) from FragranceDirect.co.uk.

Review: Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

When this product was first advertised, I knew I would be interested. I wanted something lighter than foundation for daily wear and after trying a couple of samples of this I decided to purchase it in full size. The packaging is a slightly rounded plastic tube. It has a simple design and looks quite plain. It also has a small wide nozzle, which dispenses the product. When you twist the cap off, some of the product does seep out a little. The formula is kind of light and wet. You get 30ml of product in the tube and I have shade Light. This BB cream is supposed to contain eight benefits in the one tube. It should blur imperfections, feel fresh, give your skin a natural glow, compliment your skin tone, look smooth,  hydrate, protect with SPF 30 and be oil free and non-greasy. This is the only BB cream I’ve tried, but I really like it. It blends well and spreads evenly and can last up to eight hours and then some. It gives your complexion a natural glow and makes your fa...

BY BEAUTY BAY New Romantic Palette

I first saw the tease post of this palette on Beauty Bay’s Instagram page on 29 th January and it was a black and white photo, so you couldn’t see the colour story but some of the shades names were a little bit of a giveaway to some possible shades (Raspberry, Flamingo and Khaki etc). On the 31 st January, they posted another tease photo of the shade Queen and this really when the colour story was confirmed. The full reveal post was on 1 st February, the same day as the palette launched. I bought it on launch day; I half expected it to already be sold out, but luckily for me it wasn’t. The formula of the eyeshadows looked like in the NikkieTutorials Palette, which I hoped the shimmers would be as they are stunning. Beauty Bay also had two other palettes that are the same sort of concept; Sunset Horizons and Book of Magic (discontinued). I decided not to purchase these two as I wasn’t completely sold on the colour stories for the usage I would personally get out of them, but they did...
