LOOKFANTASTIC BEAUTY BOX #7 - November 2020

Last month’s box was the Retreat Edition and this month we have the Firecracker Edition with a berry and orange themed box. The six items inside the box should be worth over £58.00 altogether! I also received a free aftershave sample.

The box quote this month is: “Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire”.

Here is what I received this month:-

ThisWorks Perfect Legs Skin Miracle
30ml - Can’t find price!
This is a lightly tinted serum, enriched with Vitamin C and E. It is supposed to give you a sun-kissed glow. You should massage it into dry skin. It does say you can use it all over your body, not just on your legs. This is not the sort of product I would be interested in trying.
Full Size: 120ml - £38.00

Polȧar Ice Pure Micellar Water with Artic Cotton
50ml - Can’t find price!
This cleansing micellar water should remove stubborn make-up and bring hydration and moisture to your skin without drying or tightening it. I already use a micellar water product every day, so this is a product I am interested in using. The bottle is quite cute and can be re-used for travel purposes. It contains Artic Cotton, but I wouldn’t say it really has a scent.
Full Size: 200ml - £20.00

NAOBAY Detox Oxygen Light Cream
50ml - £16.00
This face cream is supposed to provide moisture without leaving your skin feeling greasy. It is recommended for all skin types and it contains Green Tea, Aloe Vera and Raspberry to provide protection against free radicals. I am excited to try this out. I am into trying different face creams/serums at the moment. It has a light scent, but it doesn’t really smell like any of the ingredients listed.

PHILIP KINGSLEY Pure Colour Frizz-Fighting Gloss
20ml - Can’t find price!
This is a conditioning heat protectant cream for your hair. It should be applied to towel dried hair, mainly focusing on the ends. It sounds like an interesting product, but I don’t think I would use it. If it was in spray bottle form, I would more likely use it. I always wash my hair on an evening, so when I style it in the morning, it is already dry. I also find the spray bottle versions easier to apply; you don’t get your hands all sticky.
Full Size: 50ml - £26.00

NAILS INC All Fired Up Nail Varnish in Portland Square
10ml - Can’t find price!
This nail polish contains charcoal, which is supposed to protect and promote the health of your nails. It is described as a red shade, but it looks more orange to me. It definitely isn’t a true red, but it does look like a beautiful shade. I will probably pass this along as I rarely paint my nails (I’m too lazy for that) and I already own quite a few polishes that I don’t use, so I don’t need to add more to my collection. If I painted my nails more, then I would keep it. It is definitely more of a summer season shade though, it doesn’t scream autumn/winter to me!
Full Size: 14ml - £15.00

LORD & BERRY Line/Shade Glam Eye Pencil in Antique Bronze
0.7g - Can’t find price!
This eyeliner pencil is supposed to be comfortable to wear, intensively pigmented and long lasting. It has a precision tip and a creamy formula which should allow it to glide onto your eye effortlessly and be blended out for a smokier look. I already own far too many eyeliner pencils (mostly Urban Decay), so I will be passing this along, but it does look beautiful. One thing I will say though is that it doesn’t look that creamy compared to my Urban Decay ones, the tip looks quite sharp in comparison.
Full Size: Can’t find size! - £10.00

MONT BLANC Explorer Eau De Parfum
2ml - Can’t find price!
This product isn’t listed on the official Beauty Box page, so I’m not sure if everyone received a sample of this. It was actually inside my main Beauty Box, they may have had too many and needed to get rid of some. It is kind of random though really because I do not wear masculine scents/aftershave/men’s cologne. The blurb inside the sample card says “Montblanc Explorer is an invitation to a fantastic journey, an irresistible call to adventure. This unconventional woody aromatic leather Eau de Parfum reveals a fresh green Italian Bergamot, contrasted with a powerful Vetiver from Haiti, and combined with rich and exclusive Patchouli from Sulawesi. Be prepared to discover new horizons”. It gives me Dior Sauvage kind of vibes. I am one of the few people that doesn’t really rate that scent, I have smelled sexier scents in my time. It does smell fresh, musky and woody. I wouldn’t be mad at smelling this on a man, but I am more of a Mugler Alien Man Fusion kind of girl!
| Full Size: 100ml - £69.99 |
This was an interesting box. It isn’t my favourite, but I have got a couple of products I am excited to try out. I am more looking forwarded to next month’s box as I haven’t ever received a LF Christmas edition Beauty Box before, it will also be my last box as I will be unsubscribing. I am just finding that the majority of products I receive are uninteresting to me and I also very rarely re-purchase something I have tried from a box, which is the whole idea of these boxes. I just like the excitement of opening a sort of present and not knowing what’s inside until it has been completed unwrapped! I’m not sure how much my box was worth this month as the edit leaflet didn’t include any of the prices this time, which is a little annoying, but hey ho!

The Sneak Peak for December’s Box is that you should receive a 10ml tube of the AVANT Pro-Radiance Brightening Eye Final Touch (worth £98.00).

Oden's Eye Solmåne Eyeshadow Palette

I first heard of this indie brand through watching Angelika Oles’ beauty channel on YouTube. Oden’s Eye is a Swedish indie brand and they make Norse mythology themed products. This is one of two eyeshadow palettes I decided to purchase; I also picked up the two matching highlighter palettes.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and rectangular in shape. It is made out of cardboard and it has a sort of textured covering (like on pogs). The design and imagery is so unique to the brand. Solmåne means the sun and moon in Swedish. Sol represents the Sun Goddess and Måne represents the Moon God. Both Gods are represented on the packaging. There is a colour split of warm and cool toned shades (lavender, pink, orange & yellow) along with moon, star and Norse symbols. The wheel around the Gods is metallic gold, so it really reflects the light when you move the palette around. The eyeshadow shade names are printed on the back of the palette. The palette has a magnetic closing/opening, ...
