Glamour Magazine - July 2013

Yesterday I picked up the new edition of Glamour Magazine, well three copies of them actually! It is the July 2013 edition and you get a choice of five free MODEL CO products and four different magazine covers (Rebel Wilson, Zooey Deschanel, Myleene Klass & Daniel Radcliffe). I have never heard of the MODEL CO brand before, but judging by their website, they are marketed as high end. I’m not sure what size the items in the magazines are, but I have listed the full sizes and prices below.

FIBRE LASHXTEND Mascara - £28
SHINE Ultra Lip Gloss in Strip Tease - £12
SHINE Ultra Lip Gloss in Showgirl Red - £12
COLOURBOX Eye Pencil in Black 01 - £14
LIP ENHANCER Illusion Lip Liner - £16
I decided to pick up two copies because this month’s edition is £1 instead of £2. I got the FIBRE LASHXTEND Mascara and COLOURBOX Eye Pencil in Black 01.  When I got home and I opened them, I soon realised the eyeliner box was empty! L All the plastic packaging was intact, so it was a manufacturing fault. Luckily, my Mum was kind enough to get me another copy with the eyeliner, so I now have it.
You also get two free samples inside the magazine, a sachet of L’ORÉAL Hair Expertise EverRiche Shampoo - 10ml (Page 49) and a sachet of GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfection BB Cream - 1.5ml (Page 69).

Also what I think may be another manufacture fault is the fact that only one of the three magazines I picked up had the actual sample sachet of BB cream! But I can’t really complain because I got a new mascara and eyeliner a whole lot cheaper than the retail price!

Next month’s issue (August 2013) is out on the 8th July and there are four free balance Me. products to choose from.

Thank you for reading

Colourpop Limoncello Palette

I first saw the tease of this palette on Trendmood’s Instagram and it instantly attracted me. I love the packaging and colour story, it just reminds me of summer. The design on the palette would also make a lovely and classy wallpaper pattern. This palette is part of the Limoncello Collection. THE PACKAGING The packaging is made out of cardboard, which is wrapped with a white, blue and yellow flowery and lemon design. The palette name and branding is printed in gold and the shade names are printed on the back of the palette. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift up to reveal the inside of the palette. The circle eyeshadow pans are arranged on a pale yellow, lemon skin textured base with the shade names printed above them at an angle in blue font. There is also a mirror on the underside of the lid. The mirror is inside a yellow cardboard base and it has a corner flower and lemon design on it. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get twelve 1g eyeshadows in Matte (M) and Metallic (ME) f...

KALEIDOS Futurism II: Cyber Bronze Palette

I have seen these palettes before on YouTube, a few people I follow have featured them in palette collection videos. The colour stories always looked incredible, but I knew I probably wouldn’t get much use out of them as the colours are bright and you are limited to six shades. I had only really seen the Futurism III: Astro-Pink , Futurism I: Sci-Fi Green , Futurism IV: VR Neon and Futurism V: Electro-Turquoise ones before. When I made my first Kaleidos order, I didn’t bother looking at the palettes as I knew I wanted the highlighters and it was going to be pricey as it was. I was browsing through Depop on the day my order arrived and came across the Futurism II: Cyber Bronze Palette . I think the seller must have received her order the same day as me. I instantly fell in love with the colour story, but I pondered over whether to purchase it or not. At 3am the next morning (insomnia), I bit the bullet and made my purchase. It was brand new and untouched, I just couldn’t! THE P...
