Glamour Magazine - July 2013

Yesterday I picked up the new edition of Glamour Magazine, well three copies of them actually! It is the July 2013 edition and you get a choice of five free MODEL ^COproducts and four different magazine covers (Rebel Wilson, Zooey Deschanel, Myleene Klass & Daniel Radcliffe). I have never heard of the MODEL ^CO brand before, but judging by their website, they are marketed as high end. I’m not sure what size the items in the magazines are, but I have listed the full sizes and prices below.

I decided to pick up two copies because this month’s edition is £1 instead of £2. I got the FIBRE LASHXTEND Mascara and COLOURBOX Eye Pencil in Black 01. When I got home and I opened them, I soon realised the eyeliner box was empty! L All the plastic packaging was intact, so it was a manufacturing fault. Luckily, my Mum was kind enough to get me another copy with the eyeliner, so I now have it.

You also get two free samples inside the magazine, a sachet of L’ORÉAL Hair Expertise EverRiche Shampoo - 10ml (Page 49) and a sachet of GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfection BB Cream - 1.5ml (Page 69).

Also what I think may be another manufacture fault is the fact that only one of the three magazines I picked up had the actual sample sachet of BB cream! But I can’t really complain because I got a new mascara and eyeliner a whole lot cheaper than the retail price!

Next month’s issue (August 2013) is out on the 8^th July and there are four free balance Me. products to choose from.

Boots.com Haul #2 + Blog Sale Purchase

I thought I would share a haul with you today. I haven’t done one for a while but I recently ordered a few items from Boots and I wanted to let you know about it. I bought the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette , which includes two sample sachets of the deep cleansing gel. I have been waiting for something like this and I cannot wait to try it. I simply refuse to buy the Sigma version, plus I don’t think it needs to be that big. Serial Sampler #31

This is a new perfume release for this year. I came across it by pure chance when I was asked to choose some free samples when I made a FeelUnique.com order. This scent was one of the two I chose to receive. It is Irresistible by GIVENCHY and it is a 1ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. “ Rose effervescent. Luscious rose dancing with radiant blond wood ” It contains a mixture of notes such as; Pear, Ambrette, Rose, Iris, Virginia Cedar and Musk. When it is first sprayed, it kind of smells like soap. As it starts to dry down, it still smells slightly soapy but the ambrette, rose, iris and musk notes start to peek through. Once it has fully dried down it smells less soapy and more florally. It is definitely a more soft mature scent. It does smell nice, fresh and does remind me of spring. It isn’t a scent I am typically drawn to, so I probably will not buy a bottle of it. I received this perfume sample for FREE when I spent over a certain amount of money on a LookFantastic.com order. I actually purchased the full sized bottle (90ml) of the Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau de Parfum. It is My Way by Armani and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. It contains a mixture of notes such as; Bergamot, Orange Blossom, Tuberose, Indian Jasmine, Madagascar Vanilla, White Musk and Virginian Cedar. This strikes me as a mature scent. It smells like something I have tested before, but I can’t quite recall the name of it. It is a very delicate and light fragrance and is definitely floral based. It is not my typical scent, but I do appreciate it. I can really smell the bergamot, tuberose, jasmine and musk notes. I would recommend it, but I personally wouldn’t wear it.
