Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked

I had wanted one of these lipsticks ever since they were released and now I finally have one. I decided to play it safe with the shade I chose.
The packaging is a plastic gunmetal grey tube, lined with dark purple interior. It also has curved facets embedded into the tube. The whole design purpose is to make it look like a bullet. To dispense the product, you just twist the bottom of the tube and the lipstick is a slanted circled shape to enable an easier application. The formula is soft and kind of velvety to the touch. You get 2.8g of product in each tube and this shade is called Naked, which is a medium nude pink.
This lipstick is mean’t to have a creamy and soft texture and glide onto your lips because of the oils and butters it contains, such as, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter. It should also make your lips look shiny and plumped and provide much pigmented colour payoff for a look which is long wearing.
I really like this lipstick. The formula is very soft, creamy and glides onto your lips. The particular shade I have is quite pigmented and looks shiny on your lips, which make them appear plump. It is kind of long wearing, I got about two hours wear but it depends on whether you are eating, drinking or using your mouth a lot. I would definitely consider purchasing another shade, but some of the shades scare me little so I would probably play it safe and get another similar shade.

Haul: Small Unmentioned Purchases

For today’s post I am going to share with you a few products that I have recently purchased and have not mentioned. I actually purchased one of the products last year but I thought I would include it anyway because I have not mentioned it before. The product I bought last year was from Asda and it is the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 HR Cream/Gel Eyeshadow in Pink Gold . I bought it for £4.99 and I got it because I thought it was limited edition but as it turned out it is actually permanent. It is a gorgeous colour! Now for the products I have bought recently this year. The Urban Decay Oz: The Great and Powerful Theodora Palette  for £35 from BeautyBay.com. I have used this palette a few times and I really like it. From Superdrug I picked up a Maybelline theROCKET Volum’Express Mascara  in the shade Black because I was interested in trying it and I got it for £5.99 because it had a £2 off offer. From Home Bargains I picked up another can of the TRESemmé Extra Hold...

KALEIDOS Futurism VI: Lunar Lavender Palette

This is my second KALEIDOS palette and I bought it from the same Depop seller as last time. I also purchased the Futurism I: Sci-Fi Green and Futurism VII: Sashimi City Palettes, reviews on those will be coming soon. THE PACKAGING The packaging is a long thin rectangle shape and the concept reminds me of a wardrobe. There is a purple, pink and rose gold coral (the reef kind) and cloud theme all over the packaging. It has a magnetic closing and you open up the left side first and then the right side to reveal the circular eyeshadow pans and long thin mirror inside. The outside theme continues to the inside, but the colours are lilac, pink, peach and orange with rose gold. The eyeshadow names come printed on a plastic sheet. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get six 1.33g eyeshadows/pressed pigments in Matte (M), Duo-Chrome (DC) and Shimmer (S) finishes.   ·          Rich and Velvety Texture ·          Smo...

Oden's Eye Solmåne Eyeshadow Palette

I first heard of this indie brand through watching Angelika Oles’ beauty channel on YouTube. Oden’s Eye is a Swedish indie brand and they make Norse mythology themed products. This is one of two eyeshadow palettes I decided to purchase; I also picked up the two matching highlighter palettes.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and rectangular in shape. It is made out of cardboard and it has a sort of textured covering (like on pogs). The design and imagery is so unique to the brand. Solmåne means the sun and moon in Swedish. Sol represents the Sun Goddess and Måne represents the Moon God. Both Gods are represented on the packaging. There is a colour split of warm and cool toned shades (lavender, pink, orange & yellow) along with moon, star and Norse symbols. The wheel around the Gods is metallic gold, so it really reflects the light when you move the palette around. The eyeshadow shade names are printed on the back of the palette. The palette has a magnetic closing/opening, ...
