Glamour Magazine - August 2014

Today I finally got my hands on the Glamour Magazine August 2014 Issue. I had been waiting for two weeks because the gift brand is Clinique and I really wanted the issue with the Clinique Chubby Stick in and they were always the first to go, but I finally have mine! I really wanted a chubby stick, but there were four gifts to choose from overall:- Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry Chubby Stick in Woppin’ Watermelon High Impact Mascara Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+ I got Woppin’ Watermelon Chubby Stick and it is a nice light pink shade. The formula is very sheer, but very shiny. I can see myself wearing this a lot! You also get a free sample sachet of Garnier Moisture Match in Shine Be Gone on Page 57. In next month’s issue it looks like the free gift brand will be Elemis. I probably won’t buy next month’s issue because the only reason I bought this one was to get a chubby stick. What did you think August’s issue? ♥ ♥ ♥

Superdrug.com Haul #3

I have a small Superdrug haul to share with you today. There were a few things I wanted and they all happened to be in stock at the same time, so I went for it. I bought my sister two Revolution Lipsticks in Depraved and Crime , but I haven’t got them pictured above with the items I bought myself. I finally got the Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush , I have been lusting after this for ages and I am very excited to try it out! I also got two Maybelline Electro Baby Lips in Strike A Rose and Pink Shock . I did want to try the regular line of baby lips, but I thought these would be better as they look more intense. Lastly, I decided to get the Revolution Redemption Iconic 3 Palette , which a lot of Bloggers have been mentioning. It is a dupe for the Naked3 and I usually get the MUA dupe versions, but they haven’t done an Undress Me Three yet, so I decided to get this one. Also, I think MUA and Makeup Revolution are the same brands, as the packaging is almost identical and s...

TAG - The Good, The Bad, The British

Photo: EnchantedIvyGifts.co.uk I was browsing my subscription videos on YouTube and I saw that EssieButton uploaded a new TAG video called The British Tag, and after watching it I decided I wanted to do the TAG too. I believe this TAG was created by BeautyCrush , so all credit is awarded to her. 1. How many cups of tea do you have a day & how do you take it? I drink around three cups of tea a day and I take mine with one small sugar and a bit of semi-skimmed milk. Tea is also the only hot drink I like. 2. What is your favourite part of a Sunday roast? My favourite part of a roast is the vegetables. I love kale & leak and broccoli! My Mum’s gravy is also to die for. 3. What is your favourite dunking biscuit? I don’t dunk biscuits anymore, but when I was younger I loved dunking Bourbons. If I was to dunk a biscuit now, I would probably choose either a Rich Tea or plain Digestive. 4. What is your quintessential British pastime? I love visiting ruins/m...

Graze - Box #12

I have another Graze box to share with you today. Three of the packets were new to me, so I was excited to try them. A closer look at my treats. Cracking Black Peppercorn “Crunchy rice crackers with cracked black pepper” I have had these several times before and I think it is my favourite Graze snack overall. They are just so yummy! Smoky Chipotle Dip “With rosemary breadsticks” The rosemary breadsticks are amazing! They are the perfect savoury snack. I didn’t try the dip because I didn’t want to spoil the breadsticks. I think Graze does rosemary very well because the crostini they do, is also delicious! Graze’s Smoky Hot Dog “Sweet mustard breadsticks, cheese croutons & smoked cashews” This is my first experience with this packet. The mustard breadsticks tasted ok and were nice and crunchy. The mustard seasoning was very slight and you could barely taste it, which was kind of good for me because I don’t like mustard. I have had th...

Glossybox #10 - July 2014

I saw a preview of this box last month and it looked as though it would be a special box, because it is American themed and it would be the July box (4 th July!). I was slightly disappointed in this box, but there was a good range of cosmetics included. Here is what I got this month:- bellápierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in Ruby | £20 - BellaPierre.co.uk | The packaging of this product is beautiful, but I find the shade so scary! It is an intense pink based red and it smells just like the MAC lipsticks. I probably won’t get much use out of it, but I will try and make it work. ABSOLUTE New York Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer | $4.99 - Nicka.com | I’ve not heard of this brand before, but I am very interested in trying this primer. Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm (pot) | £2.69 - MyCarmex.com | I already have some lip balms from Carmex. It is a great brand and the products are nice, but I am bored of them now. I prefer drier stick balms, so I will probably ...

Graze - Box #11

I was looking forward to receiving this box as I was guaranteed new snacks from my try list and it was half price because I was looking to cancel my subscription. I have to tell you, I was happy when I opened my box because I receive three new packets! A closer look at my treats. My Thai “Sweet chilli sauce with baked soy bites” I have had this packet before and I love the soy bites! Like before, I didn’t try the sauce. Very Nori-sh “Japanese rice crackers with nori seaweed” These are a lot like the soy crackers above, but taste more savoury. The seaweed is kind of weird and leafy tasting, but overall the crackers are nice. Smoky BBQ Corn “Smoked cashews and jumbo corn” The cashews tasted like BBQ and they were not too sweet. The corn was slightly salty and savoury tasting. I wasn’t keen on the cashews, but the corn was beautiful. Super Carrot Cake “Guilt free high tee” I love carrot cake and this was yummy! Although I love c...

Birchbox #2 - July 2014

This is my second ever Birchbox (arrived yesterday) and I was interested to see if it beat last month’s box. I got another free lifestyle extra, so I am assuming you get one every month! Here is what I received this month:- Models Own Nail Polish in Sparkler | £5 – ModelsOwnIt.com | This is my first ever Models Own nail polish and it is from the Fireworks collection. It looks like a very pretty top coat, but I’m not sure if I would actually use it. Only time will tell! Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream | £20 (15ml) – BalanceMe.co.uk | I have owned a lip balm from this brand before and this eye cream does sound interesting. I will give it a go because I am always on the lookout for a new/different eye cream. LAQA & CO Lip Lube in Menatour | £14.95 (full size) – LAQAandCO.co.uk | I have never heard of this brand before and this product looks very interesting. It is a cute mini size and the colour is a bright purple. It is not something I would typically we...

Glossybox #9 - April 2014

You may have noticed that last Friday I posted about my June 2014 Glossybox, well the day after I received that one, my free box came and I am annoyed! I was led to believe from the e-mail that the free box would be July, but instead I received the April 2014 box! I noticed that a few people were annoyed too, but Glossybox insist they promised a free past box, not the limited edition 4 th July box! Anyway, here is what I got in this box:- EMITE MAKE UP Lip Brush (L312) | £17 – EmiteMakeUp.com | I’ve not heard of this brand before and it is an odd shaped lip brush. I will definitely try it out and I can’t believe how expensive it is! MONU Spa Warming Ginger Massage & Body Oil | £26 (100ml) – MonuShop.co.uk | This brand is too new to me and I’m not really into oils. I will however give this a go because it smells lovely. MeMeMe Cosmetics Beat The Blues in Pearl Pink | £5.50 (12ml) – MeMeMeCosmetics.co.uk | I have heard of this brand and my local Superdr...
