Glossybox #8 - June 2014

I re-subscribed! The last box I had was the Valentine’s Day special and it now seems like a lifetime ago I had a Glossybox. I was suckered into re-subscribing because I was e-mailed an offer. It you bought the June box, you got the July box free. Naturally, I just had to take advantage of the offer. My free July box will be a 4th July special, so I am excited for that! Here is what I got in my June box:-

nailgirls 3-in-1 Base/Topcoat & Nail Strengthener
£13.50 – nailgirls.co.uk
I’ve not heard of this brand before and the product does sound interesting. It is full size and I am always on the lookout for new nail care products. I am eager to try this.

got2b Rise ‘n Shine Soufflé
£4.07 (100ml) – got2be.schwarzkopf.co.uk
This product smells really nice, but I will probably give it to my Sister. I’m not really a hair kind of girl, so this product would be wasted on me. If my Sister is not interested in it, I may give it a try.

Teeez Trend Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush
€19 – Teeez.eu
I’ve not heard of this brand before either, but I have seen this brush advertised online before. It has a very cute design and it is definitely something I would get use out of. I can’t wait to add it to my expanding brush collection.

Roger&Gallet Fleur de Figuier Discovery Ritual
Shower Cream, Body Lotion and Eau Fraîche Fragrance
£9.50 (200ml), £13 (200ml) & £32 (100ml) – roger-gallet.co.uk
Yet another brand I have not heard before. The scent is surprisingly nice and not my typical scent. It is very strong and fruity. I will definitely use and enjoy the cream and perfume, but I am not really excited about the body lotion.

So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush
| £17.95 – SoSusan.com
This brand is new to me and this particular product seems very interesting to me. I am excited to try it and I hope it adapts well to my skins chemistry and still makes my cheekbones look naturally flushed and not overly coloured!

This is one of my favourite Glossyboxes so far and I think my favourite product has to be the So Susan blush. I am glad I decided to re-subscribe and take advantage of the offer. I am now very excited to see what July has to offer me!

What are your thoughts on this box?

Jouer Skinny Dip Palette

I first saw this palette when Jouer released their Skinny Dip make-up collection and I nearly bought it, but I changed my mind because I already have a million palettes. As you can see, I have changed my mind again and I am very glad that I did. The packaging is quite compact. It is made out of reflective foil gold cardboard and the typography is simple. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift to reveal a small rectangular mirror on one side and then the six eyeshadow pans on the other. The shade names are written underneath each pan. You get six ultra-foil shimmer eyeshadows in blinding shades with a net weight of 7.5g. The sixth shade is actually described as more of a glitter shade. STAR LIGHT - platinum BIKINI - champagne pink SKINNY DIP - champagne gold TAN LINES - antique bronze MAGIC HOUR - warm taupe MIDNIGHT SWIM - cocoa bronze The eyeshadows should be highly pigmented, have an intense shimmery and metallic finish, be long wearing and cre

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up

Wake Me Up Foundation I bought this after seeing the advertisement for it on Rimmel’s Facebook, and I thought the description sounded perfect for me. The packaging is made of glass and it has a curved shape, with the Rimmel logo and product name printed in the centre on a bit of plastic tape. The cap is a slanted block shape made of plastic and it is a bright orange colour with glitter sparkle. This product has an orange plastic pump, which dispenses the product. All the relevant information is printed on the back, like most products. It is also packaged in a plastic wrapper, with a security tag. This product is marketed as a foundation that “instantly reawakens skin, with a healthy, radiant glow”. It is also mean’t to be light weight and give a poreless and flawless complexion. It also contains SPF15 for sun protection and illuminating pearls, which is mean’t to give your face a natural glow. It is also mean’t to “bounce your skin back to life” and banish the signs of fat
