Haul: Recent Purchases #7

I have purchased a hell of a lot of beauty related items between Christmas, New Year and beyond, I have completely gone mental!!! I can’t quite believe how much I have purchased or spent. I got discounts off the majority of the items, but it is still a lot to process. I thought I may as well share with you what I purchased.

From BeautyBay.com, I got the Melt Cosmetics Eyeshadow Stack in Haze, ZOEVA Classic Brush Holder, RINCÓN Sugar Rush Palette and the BPERFECT Stacey Marie Carnival Palette. I already have three of the brush holders and I am also interested in getting another eyeshadow stack in the not so distant future. I originally saw this stack a month or so ago, but I was put off by the price, when I saw it discounted just after Christmas, I took advantage. The Rincon palette I believe is new and the colour story is right up my street. I first saw the carnival palette a few months ago and I was like, no, I don’t like colour. My tastes keep changing and I am now starting to get into colour eyeshadows. I have recently been wearing yellow, orange and different reds. I cannot wait to test out these beauties!

From FeelUnqiue.com, I got the Benefit Hello Happy Foundation in 01 Fair Cool, Benefit Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer in 01 Light, Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer and Urban Decay Urban Lashes in Hbic. I’ve previously had a sample of the foundation and it was ok. I have tried all of the other Boi-ing concealers apart from this one, so I am interested to see if it works. I used to use the primer years ago and thought I would try it again and believe it or not, this is my first pair of false eyelashes! I also received two free skincare samples with my order.

From CultBeauty.co.uk, I purchased the HUDA BEAUTY Topaz Obsessions Palette, HUDA BEAUTY Eyes Fender Blender Eyeshadow Applicator, Stila Bare with Flair Eyeshadow Duo in Kitten and the Lime Crime Venus XL II Palette. I also received two free samples with one of my orders.

I only got the one item from Boots and it was the DKNY Stories Eau De Parfum 30ml Set.

From Superdrug, I got the Revolution by Petra Palette and the Revolution X Soph Highlighter Palette.

From MAC, I got a Patrick Starrr Matte Lipstick in Spank Me Santa and a Girls Matte Lipstick in Smarticle. I received two free samples with my order.

I have got a lot of items to test before I do my next declutter! I also need to try not to spend any more money unless it is completely necessary. I will have a few posts up in the next few weeks based around some of the items I purchased.

Perfume Power! - Christina Aguilera 'Woman'

I decided to buy this perfume as it was on my test list on Fragrantica and I saw it for a decent price. I have been struggling to find places to buy perfume samples lately, so I took a gamble and bought the smallest bottle size I could. I got the 30ml bottle in the eau de parfum. The bottle is made of glass and kind of an hourglass shape, just like some of Christina’s other perfumes. It has a yellow gold flower design on the thinnest part of the bottle and Christina’s name is printed in hot pink and the perfume name printed in yellow gold. It also has yellow gold banding around the neck for the cap to sit on. The cap is clear plastic and kind of diamond shaped. It has a slight yellow gold spritzer to dispense the scent. On the outer cardboard box it had this description; “A sensual combination of golden amber and white flowers - radiating femininity the way a woman does”. The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Litchi & Pear Middle Notes: Magnol...

e.l.f Studio Cream Eyeliners

A while back I decided I wanted to try a different type of eyeliner because liquid wasn’t working so well for me, so I decided to look into cream/gel eyeliners. I had heard about the e.l.f one before and decided I would give it ago, plus I was already into e.l.f products and I had never experienced anything negative from the brand. I’ve tried four shades and they are Black , which is a dark charcoal black, Coffee , which is a matte medium toned coffee brown and Punk Purple , which is a metallic deep royal. I had to throw all three away for reasons I will explain. The packaging is a cube shaped clear plastic container with a black plastic lid. You have to twist the lid to get it off and it is mean’t to be air tight. You also get a free small angled eyeliner brush with each shade. The formula is dryer than gel eyeliners because it is cream based and the formula is not really glossy looking. You get 4.7g of product in each container. This product is mean’t to give you s...
