Haul: Recent Purchases #8

I recently bought some cosmetic products and I thought I would share them with you. It is mostly skincare and there is not one make-up product, which is a shock to me! I haven’t really bought any make-up recently; I am almost getting withdrawals (joke), but my bank account isn’t mad with me!

From FeelUnique.com, I purchased the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Renew Super Serum for £24.99, Garnier Moisture Bomb Super-Hydrating 3 in 1 Moisturiser SPF10 for £7.99, Garnier Moisture Bomb Super-Recharging Gel-Cream Night for £7.99 and because there was a 3 for 2 offer on Garnier products, I also got a Garnier Moisture Bomb Deep Sea Water & Hyaluronic Acid Night-Time Eye Tissue Mask for FREE (RRP £2.99). I also received a FREE perfume sample as I spent over a certain amount of money on my order. I just wanted to test out some new skincare and try a new serum. I currently use Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir and I have almost finished it. I’m not really sure it did anything special to my skin and it is extremely expensive and can’t justify re-purchasing it at this moment in time.

From LookFantastic.com, I got a L’Oréal Paris Colorista Permanent Gel Hair Dye in Copper for £5.99 and an Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Nighttime Rescue Lip Oil-Serum for £25.00. I have been dyeing my hair an auburn/ginger colour for a while now and I still haven’t found the perfect shade, so I saw that the L’Oréal one was quite bright and thought I would give it ago. I wanted to try the lip oil to see if it would do anything special. I am currently using the Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir and it doesn’t really do anything different to a regular lip balm.

From AllBeauty.com, I bought Skin Doctors Hair No More Inhibitor Spray for £9.95 (RRP £10.99) and another bottle of the Christina Aguilera Eau De Parfum in 30ml for £10.95 (RRP £20.00). I used up my last bottle of this perfume many years ago and decided on a whim to buy it again. I was just interested in trying the no more hair spray to see if it will actually work in any way, shape or form.

From BeautyBay.com, I purchased two ZOEVA 238 Precise Shader Brushes for £10.00 each and NUTHING Shimmer Hair Removal Wax in Blue (Passionfruit & Blueberry) for £12.95. I already own a couple of the brushes, but wanted more of them and I just wanted to try the wax.

I can’t wait to start using the items I have purchased, although I didn't realise the serum was targeted for people aged forty plus (I'm only in my mid twenties!). There are some new make-up products being released soon. I am very interested in getting the Natasha Denona Bronze Palette, if I do decide to get the palette I will post a review.

Glossybox #25 - February 2019

This is my third Glossybox since I re-subscribed last year. It is also the Valentine’s Day themed box. I would say that so far, this box seems to be the one most tailored to my usual interests. I received seven products in this box, technically six because two go hand in hand. HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Venus This lip pencil formula is supposed to be waterproof and transfer-free. It should glide on effortlessly and give your lips an intense shot of colour. You can use it to contour or colour your lips or pair it with a lipstick. Venus is a warm beige nude shade. It glides onto your lips very easy, but it feels a little tacky when you fill your whole lips in with it. I’m not sure how often I would use this seeing as though I have never used lip liner. I prefer liquid lipsticks and I don’t feel the need to line my lips before applying it. | 1.20g - £16.00 | NAILS INC Nail Varnish in Status Ready This nail polish should be long lasting and super glossy. It is a deep che

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. You get twenty-four 1.50g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Shimmer (S) and Metallic (ME) finishes. Swatch Stencil: Stripes Double 14 Pan by SwatchPerfect.co.uk Virgin - bone white (M) Good Morning - soft pink

e.l.f Earth & Ocean Palette

I haven’t purchased anything from e.l.f in the longest time. I happened upon a post of this palette on Instagram and the complimentary comments really peaked my interest in trying it for myself. Palettes I have tried from e.l.f. in the past haven’t been the greatest of quality; I kind of associate the brand as being for children, beginners or natural beauty wearers. I was also interested in the Retro Paradise Palette , but I thought I would get more use out of this one at the moment.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is quite simple with a clear/black outlined plastic rectangular shape. The fronting is transparent so that you can see the eyeshadows from the outside of the palette. It has a clip closing, which you push apart to reveal the inside. The square eyeshadow pans are spread out across a black base and the shade names are printed in grey font under each pan. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get eighteen 0.94g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME), Glitter (G), Satin (S) and Shimmer
