Perfume Power! - Christina Aguilera 'Signature'

This was the first ever perfume I bought myself and I was still at school at the time. I only ever had the one bottle and it has been many a year since I used it up and last caught a whiff of this scent! I recently had a craving to smell it again, so I decided to get myself a bottle.

The bottle is made of glass and has a sort of hourglass/silhouette shape. There is a black flowery lace design all over the front of the bottle. The bottle design is apparently inspired by a dress that the designer Marcel Rochas made for actress Mae West. The clear plastic cap is almost diamond shaped and it lifts off to reveal a spritzer, which you press down to dispense the scent. You can purchase it in 30ml for £20.00 from AllBeauty.com and FragranceDirect.co.uk.

Launched: 2007

Type: Fruity with soft floral undertones.

Classification: Eau De Parfum

Notes
Top: Black Currant, Tangerine, Exotic Fruits and Pineapple.
Middle: Peony, Plum and Jasmine.
Base: Vanilla, White Musk and Amber.

Availability: 30ml (£20.00), 50ml (£30.00) and 75ml (£40.00).

I love the bottle design it is very simple, but elegant. The scent is very fresh, feminine and sensual smelling. It is mostly fruity, but it has soft and sparkling floral undertones. I have fallen in love with this scent all over again! I can mostly smell the peony, plum, jasmine, vanilla, white musk and amber notes. It is not an overpowering scent at all. I would class it as a daytime wear and it kind of reminds me of spring. It does last a very long time on the skin, but it will fade throughout the day as it is a soft fragrance. I am so glad that I decided to purchase this perfume again and I am happy it was still available for purchase as it is now thirteen years old! I would highly recommend it and I would consider re-purchasing it again once I have finished this bottle (if it is still available - fingers crossed!).

Oden's Eye Norn’s Mesmerizer Highlighters

When I saw that Oden’s Eye posted on their Instagram page about their new Norn’s Series Collection, I knew I would be making my second purchase of their products. The collection as a whole includes four eyeshadow palettes and three highlighters. The palettes all looked beautiful, but I knew I wouldn’t get much use out of them and I didn’t just want to buy them to swatch and post about and then not use again. I did want to buy all three highlighters, but I settled on the two that I would get most use out of. The one I didn’t choose is a stunning blue and silver shade and I just knew I wouldn’t wear it as much as the other two. I already own a few other blue highlighters and I hardly ever wear them. I believe only the three highlighters are limited edition and the eyeshadow palettes are all permanent. ABOUT THE PRODUCT In Norse mythology, three sisters (Norn’s) weave and guard the web of fate. They also attend the spring of life that supports the World Tree. The highlighters reflect the ...

ZOEVA Rose Golden Palette

I saw this palette a while ago on a beauty blog and instantly knew I had to have it. It’s not long launched here in the UK, but it’s already a cult favourite! I just adore the packaging, everything about it! It’s made out of cardboard, but it feels sturdy and durable and it is a gorgeous kind of coffee/red velvet chocolate colour. It has a beautiful rose gold design on the front, with swirls and then a centered key. It has a magnetic closing, which is quite strong because if you hold it from the top when closed and give it a shake, the two parts don’t separate (palette doesn’t open). It has a light feel in general and inside it’s all one beautiful colour and the eyeshadows are well spaced. Around each pan is a rose gold diamond border and underneath in small rose gold letters are the shade names. On the back of the palette is the usual ingredients and other information blurbs. You get ten full size eyeshadows (0.5oz) with matte, metallic or satin finishes and each has a cute...

My Eye Primers: The Verdict!

It has taken me a long time to put this altogether, but I have finally done it! I decided I wanted to share my thoughts on eye primers I had tried and it turned out that I had ten, so I thought I would test them and find out which one worked best for me. I have split them into two categories (High End/Low End) and I aim to rank them from #1 to #10 on which is the longest wearing. Let’s look at the primers I will be testing. HIGH END URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION PRICE: £17.50 SIZE: 10ml SHADES: Original, Anti-ageing, Freebase, Eden, Fix, Minor Sin, Sin and Caffeine APPLICATION: Squeeze tube without a nozzle, but also has a sponge stick applicator PROMISES: Non-creasing, gives you vibrant eyeshadows WHERE TO BUY: UrbanDecay.co.uk (UK) & Sephora (USA) I like to think that this primer is my favourite as I love the packaging (purple is my favourite colour). It is potion bottle inspired and it is the first primer I remember ever seeing and wanting. The packa...
