Empties #6 - March 2013

Hello again, I haven’t really used up anything interesting this month and I have been quite lazy with posts, but I will hopefully have quite a few reviews up soon and then maybe I can start using up some make-up and then I can justify buying more. Let’s get into what I managed to use up. Possibility Raspberry Pavlova Body Spray – 90ml I received this as a gift, as part of a gift set. As you can tell it is a body spray scented like Raspberry Pavlova and I do not know what Raspberry Pavlova actually smells like, but the spray does smell of raspberry which is ok, but it also smells really sweet and buttery like toffee, which I do not like. It definitely doesn’t smell as nice as the matching shower gel. And it doesn’t last very long on the skin and I cannot find anywhere online that sells it, which means even if I liked it and wanted to re-purchase it, I wouldn’t be able to! no price can be found! – no link can be found! Haul: Small Unmentioned Purchases

For today’s post I am going to share with you a few products that I have recently purchased and have not mentioned. I actually purchased one of the products last year but I thought I would include it anyway because I have not mentioned it before. The product I bought last year was from Asda and it is the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 HR Cream/Gel Eyeshadow in Pink Gold . I bought it for £4.99 and I got it because I thought it was limited edition but as it turned out it is actually permanent. It is a gorgeous colour! Now for the products I have bought recently this year. The Urban Decay Oz: The Great and Powerful Theodora Palette  for £35 from BeautyBay.com. I have used this palette a few times and I really like it. From Superdrug I picked up a Maybelline theROCKET Volum’Express Mascara  in the shade Black because I was interested in trying it and I got it for £5.99 because it had a £2 off offer. From Home Bargains I picked up another can of the TRESemmé Extra Hold...

Empties #5 - February 2013

I haven’t used too much up this month, but I am getting there. I actually have a few reviews planned which will hopefully be posted in March, which means I can start using up more make-up related products instead of just bath and body stuff. Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean Deep Cleansing Milk – 200ml I am still using this as my night cleanser and I still love it. There is no need for me to re-purchase one because I received one in a gift set at Christmas! Although I have noticed that if I don’t use it one night, my skin is terrible the next day and I think it happens because my skin is so used to the product now, but I don’t know whether that is a good thing or a bad thing. I am still going to carry on using though and try to use it every day instead of being lazy! £7 – click here! Morrisons Large Oval Cotton Wool Pads (100% Cotton) – 50 Pads This was my third and last packet of these. I will probably just re-purchase any type when I go shopping. I will not be sh...

Haul: My Last Day! :(

Today I completed my six weeks of work experience. I was volunteering at a business centre on reception and I really enjoyed it. Before I started I was initially unsure because I had not done that type of work before and I am quite shy around people I have not met before and I suffered quite badly from social anxiety, but everyone was very nice and welcoming. Anyway, I received some lovely gifts from the reception staff, a thank you card and a glowing reference. I also got a strawberry frosted cupcake which was very tasty, but I forgot to take a picture of it before I ate it! Let’s get into what I received. The gifts are very girly of course, firstly is the Possibility Pamper Salon Gift Set , which is the high street version of Philosophy. The set includes a pink body exfoliator; shower gel, body lotion and body mist. These are scented with Raspberry Pavlova, which smells amazing. Next I got a Baylis & Harding Gift Set in the Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit scent . The...

Empties #4 - January 2013

Welcome to my first Empties post of the year! I’ve not really used much up because I have been trying to review things before using them up, but so far I’ve been slow on both tasks. Hopefully there will be new and more things next month! e.l.f Tone Correcting Concealer – 2.4g I had this concealer in two shades, Ivory and Rosy Beige. It wasn’t a bad concealer, I actually mixed both the shades, but they didn’t do enough for me coverage wise and lasting power. But for the price this concealer is great! £1.50 – click here! Soap & Glory FOAM Call Body Wash – 500ml I bought this last year from my local Boots because I wanted to try all of Soap & Glory’s body washes, because they are so lovely. I do like this one and it is from the Fruitigo fragrance line, but the body washes last forever, so I got bored of the scent! I have a back-up that I got for Christmas though, but I will be using a Vera Wang shower gel before I start using Soap & Glory Clean Girls body was...

Coming Soon: Urban Decay Oz The Great and Powerful Palettes

Photo: Blog.Debenhams.com Urban Decay has recently released these two limited edition palettes inspired by the film, Oz: The Great and Powerful. They have not been released in the UK yet, but from what I have read they should be released here in March! Both palettes look stunning but I’m mostly looking forward to the Theodora one because the palette looks more Wizard of Oz inspired and definitely my kind of product. I actually want it for the tin palette because the shadows are removable and I was going to buy an empty Urban Decay tin palette, but none of the current designs caught my eye until this one did. It is just an added bonus that the eyeshadows in this palette are neutral. When they are released Debenhams will have them, but if like me you rely on the Internet for Urban Decay, BeautyBay.com should be getting a limited amount of them on 7th February. They should be around £35 each by my estimates, but I could be wrong. Which one have you got your eye on, or ar...

Perfume Power! - Diesel 'Loverdose'

Photo:  TheFragranceCounter.co.uk I received this perfume as a Christmas present and it was part of a gift set. This is the eau de parfum version of the fragrance. The bottle is very gorgeous indeed! The bottle is made of glass and it is heart shaped with amethyst colouring. If you look closely at the bottle you can see that the spray also acts as a sort of dagger, ‘a dagger to the heart’. Also the edges of the heart are not straight, which means the bottle can be stood three different ways, only two of the ways work for me because when it is stood on the longest edge it falls over, but once I've used more of the perfume up that might solve the problem! The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Mandarin & Star Anise Middle Notes: Jasmine, Gardenia & Liquorice Base Notes: Amber, Vanilla & Wood This perfume is described as being oriental with a liquorice heart. It is definitely more of a night time scent because it is quite strong and sexy smelling and...

BIG NEWS: Next Paradise IS BACK! ❤

As you may have noticed from the title I am excited! I actually found out on Christmas Eve but forgot to mention it to you, are you ready? NEXT PARADISE PERFUME IS BACK IN BUSINESS! ! ! ! I’m not sure when it was re-launched and I don’t know whether it was temporary for Christmas, but from what I can tell the website still have it in stock, so who knows. I just hope that it stays so I can re-purchase it again. On the website it shows the perfume in its re-branded state and I must say the bottle looks lovely and it is now £10 for 100ml, instead of the previous £12 for 100ml, so even more WOW! Click here to read the review I posted on this perfume. £10 – 100ml – Click Here! So will you be picking it up? Because I definitely 100% recommend it! J
