Serial Sampler #26

I am sampling a newer version of a really old perfume today. It was first released way back in 1957 and dedicated to the actress Audrey Hepburn. It was modernised and re-released in 2018, which is the version I am testing today. I believe the name of the fragrance means ‘The Forbidden’ in French.

It is L’Interdit by GIVENCHY and it is a 1ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.

“The shocking side of chic. A forbidden blend of a white flower and a dark accord. A resolutely underground flower.”

It contains a mixture of notes such as; Bergamot, Pear, Tuberose, Orange Blossom, Jasmine Sambac, Patchouli, Vetiver, Ambroxan and Vanilla.

This smells very classy and floral. It is not too strong, but you can definitely smell the Bergamot, Pear, Jasmine Sambac and Patchouli notes. The Pear does tone the floraliness down quite a bit, which is why I quite like it. I wouldn’t go out and purchase a bottle right away as it isn’t my typical scent and it reads as a mature scent to me, but I will definitely finish up the sample and keep it in mind should my taste in fragrances change in the future.

Oden's Eye Norn’s Mesmerizer Highlighters

When I saw that Oden’s Eye posted on their Instagram page about their new Norn’s Series Collection, I knew I would be making my second purchase of their products. The collection as a whole includes four eyeshadow palettes and three highlighters. The palettes all looked beautiful, but I knew I wouldn’t get much use out of them and I didn’t just want to buy them to swatch and post about and then not use again. I did want to buy all three highlighters, but I settled on the two that I would get most use out of. Graze - Box #8

I have yet another Graze box for you today. This box was more savoury than the ones I have had before. A closer look at my treats. The Graze Brownie “The better-for-you brownie” The brownies were quite nice. It was Belgian chocolate and not too sickly and I don’t usually like nuts/almonds in brownies, but these tree nuts were good. Spicy Corn Taco “Spicy chilli peanuts, roasted corn & edamame beans” The chilli peanuts were really good. They taste a bit like regular salted peanuts, but you still get that hint of chilli spice. The corn was beautiful! It was really crunchy and it had a sweet and savoury taste to it. I wasn’t that keen on the beans because they were mostly tasteless and they remind me of bird seeds because they are really crunchy, but the texture is hollow and shell like.
