Jeffree Star Cosmetics: Summer Chrome Collection 2017

I have decided to do a sort of swatch post today, but I have included a little more information than I usually would for a simple swatch post. Jeffree Star Cosmetics recently came out with a new Summer Chrome Collection of products and I decided I wanted to purchase something, but wasn’t quite sure what at first. The whole collection includes; 8 Velour Liquid Lipsticks, 3 Velour Lip Scrubs, 5 Lip Ammunitions™, 2 Skin Frosts™ and various lip gift sets. I decided to pick up two items from the collection, both are lip products. I got a Velour Liquid Lipstick in Calabasas , which was £16.00 for 5.4ml. I also got a Lip Ammunition™ in Birthday Suit , which was £16.00 for 3.4g. CALABASAS - matte rosy red BIRTHDAY SUIT - satin soft rose nude I wasn’t too sure if the liquid lipstick would suit me, but it actually looks lovely. I love the colour and it is perfect after one application (the wand tickles my lips a little). It dries down and it is long wearing, but wi...

Perfume Power! - Britney Spears 'Maui Fantasy'

Today’s perfume power is quite a short one. I purchased this perfume not so long ago because it is a Britney scent and I just had to test it. The bottle is made of light azure blue frosted glass and has a spherical shape with a pink and white hibiscus flower pattern on the front. The textured band around the neck of the bottle is white and the cap is rounded and made of translucent red plastic. Lastly, it has the regular perfume spritzer to dispense the liquid. The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Strelitzia, Passionfruit & Pink Grapefruit Middle Notes: Hibiscus, Cyclamen, Tiare Flower & Orange Blossom Base Notes: Coconut, Vanilla, Musk, White Amber & White Wood The bottle is beautiful and the scent is quite light and delicate and actually quite nice considering I don’t like coconut. I can mostly smell the coconut, grapefruit and vanilla notes. It does last a while on the skin. Although it is pleasant, it is definitely not my typical scent and I proba...

Serial Sampler #11

Today I have a mini mascara to share with you. It is In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash by MAC and it is a 1g sample of the full size mascara. It is supposed to give your lashes extreme volume, a deep black colour and give them a slight curl. I didn’t reckon much to this mascara at all! It coated my lashes in black pigment, separated them, made them look defined and gave them a slight curl, but no volume! I don’t know if the formula just doesn’t like my lashes or whether the brush is different. The brush kind of looks different to the full sized tube from photos I have seen, but I don’t know why they wouldn’t use the same brush for the sample because the brush makes the formula work. I’m guessing I would have to purchase the full size to find out, which I will not be doing. This was my first ever experience with MAC mascaras and it hasn’t put me off. You can buy the full sized tube for £19.50 and it is available for sale at MACcosmetics.co.uk and MAC stores. ♥...

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette

I managed to get my hands on one of these palettes quite early on! On 12 th June, Urban Decay released a limited amount of these palettes for sale via their website. They actually launched in the UK on 27 th July and are widely available. I’m not sure how many were released early, but I know I was lucky enough to get one, just a shame it has taken me this long to finally review it! This is the fifth naked palette Urban Decay has released. They also have a Naked Basics range, but I consider those palettes to be separate from the original line up. I already own Naked 1, 2 and 3. I did have 4 (Smoky), but I gave this to my sister as the shades didn’t really appeal to me, the palette devil in me just had to buy it anyway! The Naked Heat palette is actually the one that appeals to me the most out of the five. I was originally going to wait until the official launch date to buy it because there were some Heat eyeliners and lipsticks that were released too and these were not availa...

MAC Haul #4

I have a MAC haul today. I didn’t buy as much as last time, but I am happy with my purchases. I got a small bottle of the Prep + Prime Fix+ . It would have worked out less expensive for me to buy the full size bottle, but I just wanted to try it out and I wasn’t sure if I would use it very often so didn’t want to be stuck with a big bottle of it. I bought a Liptensity Lipstick in Smoked Almond (bright rose-brown) . I have seen these lipsticks online before and didn’t really know too much about them, but the packaging always caught my eye. I decided to pick one up and try it out. Lastly, I bought an Eye Shadow X 9 Palette in Burgundy Times Nine (Honey Lust, Poppyseed, Quarry, Antiqued, Embark, #Noir, Haux, Star Violet & Sketch) . The shades just appealed to me and I don’t own very many eyeshadows from MAC. I wasn’t expecting the palette to be so small. Each eyeshadow is just 0.8g. Honey Lust - bronze dipped peach (lustre) Poppyseed - midtone mauvey nude (satin) ...

Dior Addict IT-LASH Mascara

Back in May 2014, I received a birthday voucher through e-mail from FeelUnique.com. It was a gift from the website, as I am a loyal customer and it was my birthday. I searched the site and nothing took my fancy, until I saw this mascara! It is quite expensive and I thought it would be worth using the voucher for something I wouldn’t purchase for full price. The tube packaging of this mascara is beautiful! It is made of black plastic and it has that distinctive Dior block design with the little silver nib (like the lipglosses). On the back of the tube, the brand name Dior has been stamped into the tune. On the front of the tube, the mascara name has been printed it silver lettering. To open the tube, your twist the little nib and pull and this reveals a small rubberised brush. The brush is barrel shaped with small spiky bristles. Dior calls it their elastomer brush because it is soft and should reach all your lashes, even the tiniest ones! The formula feels rich and creamy and lo...

Jeffree Star Cosmetics

I am reviewing some Jeffree Star Cosmetics products I recently picked up from BeautyBay.com. For those that don’t know, Jeffree Star is a Beauty YouTuber who has his own make-up brand. I have only recently become a fan and I can’t quite remember how! I like his make-up videos because they are honest and when he does tutorials it is like he is actually teaching you. I dislike the voiceover/quick cut edited tutorials most YouTubers create. He mostly uses really expensive high end products, but he is up front about it and it isn’t because he is snobby. I think he mentioned that he had some bad experiences with drugstore products when he first started out with make-up, so the higher end brands tended to be more quality made. As we all know, the quality of make-up has dramatically changed over the years, so he is gradually trying out more drugstore brands on his channel. I have previously tried a Skin Frost™ in Peach Goddess . It was a good product, but it was wasted on me as I’m ju...

FeelUnique.com Haul #1

I went a little crazy last weekend and purchased quite a bit from FeelUnique! I buy stuff from there all of the time, but I don’t usually buy this much in one go. I accidentally made my first ever NARS purchase. It popped up on the homepage and I just clicked it. It is the NARS NARSISSIST Unfiltered 2 Cheek Palette . It has six shades of pink toned shades for your cheeks and I am very excited to test them out. Plus the packaging is so sleek! I got two Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Mildew and Maui Wowie . I picked up three products from NYX; NYX High Definition Eyeshadow Base and two NYX Slide On Pencils in Purple Blaze and Tropical Green . I also got The Vintage Cosmetic Company Slanted Tweezers in Rose Gold , because they are rose gold! Lastly, because I spent a certain amount of money I could get two free samples. I chose the Benefit they’re Real! Push-Up Liner and Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Bloom EDT . I can’t wait to start using everything. Hopefully, nothing too ap...

Serial Sampler #10

I recently received this sample with an online beauty order and I have heard of this product before. It was the packaging that caught my attention most. It is Fresh Couture by MOSCHINO and it is a 1ml spritzer sample of the eau de toilette. It contains a mixture notes such as; Bergamot, Raspberry, Peony, Ylang-Ylang, Ambroxan and Patchouli. It is quite a strong scent for an EDT, but it is really nice and not overpowering. It smells similar to a scent I have tested before, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. It doesn’t strike me as being your traditional female scent, so it is probably universal. I would class it as a deep musky floral scent. Overall, the bottle design is very original, sadly the scent is not. I definitely won’t be buying a full sized bottle as it doesn’t give me the WOW factor. I would recommend that you give it a sniff though! You can buy it in 30ml (£35), 50ml (£50) and 100ml (£65) and it is available at places such as; Superdrug, Debenhams an...

Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe

I have had this blush palette for a long time now, but I have only recently started to use it. I know it was released last year and I believe it was limited edition, but you can still find it for sale on the Too Faced website. The packaging is long, thin and sleek. It is made out of thick cardboard and rectangular shaped. It has a pretty heart design on the front and product information printed on the back. It has a magnetic closing and when you lift the lid it reveals a small narrow mirror and the product pans. You get six 2.0g blushes in heart shaped pans. Each shade is also available in a full sized single heart shaped compact. LOVE HANGOVER - light pink coral BABY LOVE - medium rosy pink I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU - bright coral orange HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE? - medium pink coral JUSTIFY MY LOVE - bright bubblegum pink YOUR LOVE IS KING - medium rosy plum These blushes should be long wearing (16 hours+), fade-proof, smudge-proof and richly pigmented. ...
