TAG - 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

Photo: shivangi-coolchicsmashing17.blogspot.com
Hello, I am going to do my first TAG today; I just thought it was something different to do and break up all the hauls I tend to do. I changed the LUST question slightly because it said “What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex” and some people don’t find the opposite sex attractive, some people like the same sex, so I changed it to potential partner. I chose those words because if it said same sex that could just mean what’s your favourite feature of someone of the same sex of you, I could say hair, but it doesn’t mean I find women sexually attractive, it just means I like some hairstyles/hair colours on women and not on myself.

GREED
What is your most expensive beauty item?
- Make-up wise the Urban Decay Naked2 Palette and in general probably the Nicky Clarke Jewel Collection hair set, which includes a hair dryer and straighteners.

What is your least expensive beauty item?
- e.l.f Eyelid Primer and I received ten e.l.f Brightening Eyeshadow Quads for FREE in an online offer last year.

WRATH
What beauty items do you have a love/hate relationship with?
- Eyeliner because I love wearing it, but I can get a nice thin precise line on one eye and then on the other eye it looks completely different, so I have to make the ‘perfect’ eye not perfect to match the other one!

GLUTTONY
What are your most delicious beauty items?
- EOS Lip Balm in Lemon Drop and Soap & Glory’s Mist You Madly scent line products.

SLOTH
What beauty items do you neglect, due to laziness?
- Liquid eyeliner because of the precise line thing and it bleeds slightly, so the line doesn’t look straight. I also tend to just put a warm coloured cream eyeshadow on my eyes instead of spending time doing my eyes with eyeshadow.

PRIDE
What beauty item gives you the most self-confidence?
- Foundation because it smooth’s out my skin and makes it appear brighter and lightly covers any redness/blemishes I might have and slightly fills in any big pores, without doing damage, such as, blockage or break outs.

LUST
What attributes do you find most attractive in a potential partner?
- Eyes. Because if a man has really nice eyes it makes his face appear brighter and eyes are very expressive, which a lot of people find attractive. I also like accents, especially an Irish accent like Colin Morgan’s (Merlin). As a whole I am kind of ‘in love’ with Eric Saade at the moment! Eric has nice dark eyes and dark brown hair, which I find sexy. He is also very energetic and most of all he has an amazing body!!

ENVY
What beauty items would you most like to receive as a gift?
- I usually like to receive perfumes, especially the more expensive ones on my wishlist because I have a lot of perfumes and can’t really afford to spend tons of money on a perfume for myself. Plus if I receive something like that as I gift it makes it feel more special.

Well that’s my written version of the TAG so now I TAG everyone who read this to do one too! J

O.P.I Breakfast at Tiffany's Mini Mani Month Set

I heard that O.P.I would be releasing a Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection and I was really interesting in trying some shades, so when I was browsing the O.P.I website and came across this set, I snapped it up straight away! The packaging is like a white and lilac fashion book and it has a beauty advent calendar vibe. It is a sort of alternative to a beauty calendar. There are five rows with five shades covering two sides of the book. You can open the windows that cover the shades, but it will reveal all five shades, which is why it doesn’t quite pass as a calendar. Plus, you can’t actually take the bottles out like you would a beauty/chocolate calendar. You have to open the sides of the book and pull out the five separate plastic trays which hold the bottles. There seems to be a lot of wasted packaging this way. You get twenty-five 3.75ml bottles of Nail Lacquer and the set contains new shades from the Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection, and some old favourites already pa...

GUCCI Mini Perfume Gift Set

Today I am going to review a perfume gift set that I bought from Boots.com during their Boxing Day sales 2014. It is the GUCCI Miniatures Gift Set and it was exclusively sold in Boots stores and on Boots.com. I love the concept of mini perfume sets and it’s a shame that not more brands do them! You get to sample more scents from brands, and if there is a certain perfume you are interested in, you would be able to sample it before potentially wasting your money buying a full size bottle of a scent you might not like. In this particular set you get five (5ml) mini fragrances to sample and I actually already bought a full size of the Guilty scent, but waited until I got this set to test it! A big gamble I know, but it did pay off this time! Here are the five miniature bottles of scents included:- FLORA BY GUCCI The bottle is so cute and with a little ribbon bow too. The notes contained in this little bottle are; citrus, peony, mandarin, osmanthus, rose, sandalwood, patchouli and ...

Serial Sampler #33

I once sent off for a perfume sample from Lancôme on Facebook and periodically they still send me samples of their new perfume releases. I received this one a while ago (ages after it first launched), but I have only just got around to testing it.   It is Idôle by Lancôme and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.   Launched: 2019   Type: Floral Notes Top: Pear and Bergamot. Middle: Turkish Rose, Rose de Mai and Indian Jasmine. Base: White Musk and Vanilla. It is a really light spring time floral scent. It isn’t too mature smelling and it is not overpowering. It reminds me of the Gucci Flora and Hugo Boss Ma Vie perfumes a little. I can really smell the Bergamot, Rose, Jasmine and Musk notes. It is a fresh floral scent and would be good for day time wear. I do really like it, although it isn’t my typical choice of scent. I personally won’t be buying a bottle of it, but I would recommend it and buy it for someone as a gift.   You can purchase the L...
