Superdrug-ish Haul

I have a haul for you today and it is slightly hair and eye themed.

I first went to Superdrug because I wanted some hair colour remover and light brown dye and I had heard of the 3 for 2 offer on make-up. I got two boxes of the ColourB4 Regular Hair Colour Remover and it is not cheap at £9.99 a box! They had a 2 for £6 offer on their own branded hair dyes, so I got two boxes of the Superdrug Colour Performance Permanent Crème Colour in 7.0 Natural Lightest Brown. It was also the only one I saw that was closest to the colour I wanted. I also took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer and got the Maybelline the COLOSSAL GO EXTREME! Volum’ Express Mascara in Very Black, Bourjois Color Edition 24H Cream Eyeshadow in 03 Pétale de glace and a Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent (free item) for my Sister.

After Superdrug I went to Argos to collect a reservation I made earlier in the day. I have always wanted a hair curling wand, but one without a clamp and something that would be easier to use. I originally decided on getting the Nicky Clarke Calabash Hair Wand, but I was too late in deciding on it and now Argos no longer stock it! The next best one I found online was the Lee Stafford WaVe and NourisH Wand, which has an argan oil infused barrel. The wand looks quite strange and funky, but I tested it out when I got home and the curls looked cute and felt quite durable, even without hair spray!

Lastly, my online order from FeelUnique.com arrived and I got theBalm Nude ‘tude Palette. I had wanted this palette for a long time, but decided against getting it because I already have all three UD Naked Palettes. All theBalm products were on a 20% off offer, so I just couldn’t resist!

Oden's Eye Solmåne Eyeshadow Palette

I first heard of this indie brand through watching Angelika Oles’ beauty channel on YouTube. Oden’s Eye is a Swedish indie brand and they make Norse mythology themed products. This is one of two eyeshadow palettes I decided to purchase; I also picked up the two matching highlighter palettes.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is small and rectangular in shape. It is made out of cardboard and it has a sort of textured covering (like on pogs). The design and imagery is so unique to the brand. Solmåne means the sun and moon in Swedish. Sol represents the Sun Goddess and Måne represents the Moon God. Both Gods are represented on the packaging. There is a colour split of warm and cool toned shades (lavender, pink, orange & yellow) along with moon, star and Norse symbols. The wheel around the Gods is metallic gold, so it really reflects the light when you move the palette around. The eyeshadow shade names are printed on the back of the palette. Too Faced Pumpkin Spice Palette

I first saw a preview of this palette in early August on the Trendmood Instagram page. I just knew I had to have it. I also own and love the Gingerbread Spice and Gingerbread Extra Spicy Palettes by Too Faced. These are the only types of holiday palettes that actually interest me from Too Faced. All of their other holiday palettes tend to be gimmicky (but pretty looking) and not good quality. THE PACKAGING The packaging is a rounded rectangular shaped tin in a beautiful pumpkin orange colour. The design on the front kind of looks like spread on a cracker. The name of the palette is printed in two different raised fonts. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift up to reveal the inside of the palette. The little rectangular eyeshadow pans are arranged across a metallic gold base, with the shade names printed in a small black font above each pan. BY BEAUTY BAY Fiery 16 Colour Palette

This is the third BY BEAUTY BAY make-up product I’ve tried and I did see it on the website when it first launched, but never picked it up. It was always sold out anyway so I couldn’t get it and the packaging has just been re-vamped for all of their palettes and all of the products were re-stocked. I decided to pick this one up because of the size, it’s not too small and it’s not too big. The nine shade version of this palette is all matte, and I really like shimmers/metallic and the massive forty-two shade version is too big (too many shades and too big to store in my drawers). I thought the sixteen shade palette would be the perfect medium. My palette actually arrived faulty; one of the eyeshadows is missing (Burnt Sienna).
