Jouer Skinny Dip Palette

I first saw this palette when Jouer released their Skinny Dip make-up collection and I nearly bought it, but I changed my mind because I already have a million palettes. As you can see, I have changed my mind again and I am very glad that I did.
The packaging is quite compact. It is made out of reflective foil gold cardboard and the typography is simple. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift to reveal a small rectangular mirror on one side and then the six eyeshadow pans on the other. The shade names are written underneath each pan.

You get six ultra-foil shimmer eyeshadows in blinding shades with a net weight of 7.5g. The sixth shade is actually described as more of a glitter shade.
STAR LIGHT - platinum
BIKINI - champagne pink
SKINNY DIP - champagne gold
TAN LINES - antique bronze
MAGIC HOUR - warm taupe
MIDNIGHT SWIM - cocoa bronze

The eyeshadows should be highly pigmented, have an intense shimmery and metallic finish, be long wearing and crease-resistant. They should also layer together perfectly or look great for just an accent colour. The palette is also paraben free, sulphate free, phthalate free and dermatologist tested.

These eyeshadows are amazing! They are extremely pigmented and foiled. They are also really soft, buttery and the consistency is not thin so they last for ages on your eyes. I always recommend using eye primer and I would recommend that you do your base make-up after applying these as there are a lot of fall out glitters with these shades. You can apply them wet, you don’t need to but it might help with the fall out. I find that using a stiff synthetic brush applies them better. I tried using a regular eyeshadow brush and the bristles were just too soft to pick up the pigment. I used the Sigma Short Shader - E20 brush to apply the Star Light shade to my inner corners and it looked absolutely and incredibly stunning! Star Light is definitely my favourite shade! I can’t stress enough how much I love and recommend this palette. I wouldn’t say it is for everyday casual use, but it sure is a treat to wear for special occasions. This palette is out of this world!

Urban Decay Naked Palette DISCONTINUED!

Photo Source: http://www.mrs-kim.com/ I’m sure we all heard the sad news yesterday that Urban Decay have sadly decided to discontinue their original Naked Palette! I was quite shocked to hear it because it is a very popular and famous neutral palette and I remember really wanting it when it was first released, but it was a while before I actually purchased it. Apparently it has been around for 8 years now already and they have extended the Naked range vastly since then. I actually only own the Naked Heat and the Naked Heat Petite Palettes from the range now. I used to have the original Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3, Naked Smoky and Naked Basics 2, but I got rid of them all because I wasn’t really using them and I had so many other palettes that give you a similar if not the same look. I am really tempted to re-purchase the original again because it is being discontinued, but I think I will leave it. I have so many other palettes to play with and Urban Decay is alread...

L'ORÉAL Volume Million Lashes So Couture Mascara

I bought this mascara and while ago with the intentions of reviewing it, but I only wear mascara when I wear eyeshadow, which is not very often these days. It has taken me a while to get around to trying out this mascara. The packaging is made of purple and gold plastic and it has a sort of tapered oval shape. The brush is small and made of rubber. It has longer bristles towards the bottom and shorter bristles at the top. The formula is creamy and kind of thick, but it does feel lightweight on your lashes. You get 9.5ml of product in the tube and the shade is Noir/Black. You can buy it for £10.99 from places such as Boots (UK), Superdrug (UK) and Ulta (USA). It is supposed to give your lashes definition and volume without making them clumpy or feeling stiff. The couture brush should coat every lash without clumps and it has small soft bristles, which should reach each lash and evenly spread the mascara. There’s nothing special about the packaging it is just a nice masc...
