Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipsticks in Old Flame & Camp Fire

I decided to buy these and give them ago after hearing good things about them online, there is also a great shade selection. My current favourite lipsticks are the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks and I wanted to see how these DOC ones would compare.
Old Flame - warm rusty orange
Camp Fire - burnt sienna
These creamy matte liquid lipsticks are mean’t to be rich in colour, long wearing and dry down to a velvety, comfortable and matte finish. You should exfoliate your lips prior to application and avoid consuming oily/greasy foods once applied. You can purchase them for £18.00 ($18.00) each from DoseofColors.com and BeautyBay.com. They are also cruelty-free and vegan.
My First Impressions
The packaging is like the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks and the actual formula of the DOC liquid lipsticks kind of reminds me of the JSC ones too. The formula is more of a cream rather than liquid, unlike the JSC’s ones. The formula comes out kind of thick on the applicator (a little messy), but it is easy to apply to the lips and I only really needed the one coat. The Camp Fire shade does smell really strong. I’m not sure if it is mean’t to smell like that because Old Flame has a floral cosmetic sort of scent and Camp Fire doesn’t smell like that. The scent has put me off that shade a little. Both shades are stunning, but I do lean more towards Old Flame as it is not as much as a statement colour for me and it doesn’t smell bad. They don’t take too long to dry and they do completely dry down matte. You can’t really feel that you are wearing them. I’m not sure how long wearing they are exactly as I am yet to test that, but I did wear Old Flame for a couple of hours before taking it off and it still looked great. It was a little hard to remove using just water and a face cloth. I think I still prefer the JSC liquid lipsticks as they are more on the liquid side, but I would consider purchasing more shades in the DOC ones.

Perfume Power! - Next 'Paradise'

I first smelt this perfume after receiving it in a mini gift set about ten years ago and I have loved it ever since. This 100ml size is my first bottle of it though, other than the tester/sample size. The bottle is quite tall and it is a sort of clutch bag shape if you turn it on its side. The bottle is a simple design and you can easily see how much perfume you have. On mine the spray pump sometimes gets stuck in the band around the neck of the bottle, but the problem is easily solved. I can’t find a specific note list anywhere for this perfume, but on Next’s site it is described as, "a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes". To me it smells really fruity and fresh. It is also multifunctional because it is quite strong and sexy, so perfect for a night out, but it is also not too overpowering and smells fresh and fruity enough for day time wear. It is actually an eau de toilette, which means that it is less concentrated, but I find that it is st...

TAG - The Good, The Bad, The British

Photo: EnchantedIvyGifts.co.uk I was browsing my subscription videos on YouTube and I saw that EssieButton uploaded a new TAG video called The British Tag, and after watching it I decided I wanted to do the TAG too. I believe this TAG was created by BeautyCrush , so all credit is awarded to her. 1. How many cups of tea do you have a day & how do you take it? I drink around three cups of tea a day and I take mine with one small sugar and a bit of semi-skimmed milk. Tea is also the only hot drink I like. 2. What is your favourite part of a Sunday roast? My favourite part of a roast is the vegetables. I love kale & leak and broccoli! My Mum’s gravy is also to die for. 3. What is your favourite dunking biscuit? I don’t dunk biscuits anymore, but when I was younger I loved dunking Bourbons. If I was to dunk a biscuit now, I would probably choose either a Rich Tea or plain Digestive. 4. What is your quintessential British pastime? I love visiting ruins/m...
