Make-Up Declutter 2020

Last month I decided to do another declutter of my cosmetics collection, the last one I did was in 2017. I managed to purge a lot more products, mainly palettes and some of the items kept surviving my previous declutters, but their luck finally ran out this time! Here is what I got rid of this time:-

FACE

That is a total of 3 nail products. The brands of products I got rid of are: - Nails Inc and Elegant Touch.

Overall, I managed to purge 200 items from my collection! I give away the products to family/friends and sell anything that is new or in good condition. If any items are gifted to me through PR, I would donate to family/friends or a charity that accepts cosmetics. I have previously tried blog sales, but they don’t work in my experience. I have now managed not to subscribe to a subscription box for about a year now, so it is likely to be another couple of years before I do a declutter again!

Boots Fragrance Sampler Gift Set for Her 2015

I decided to treat myself to this little fragrance set. As you know, I am a perfume addict and I’m quite addicted to collecting perfume samples too! It’s this year’s Boots Fragrance Sampler set for Her. I saw last year’s advertised but I always thought it was a little expensive for what you get. The set basically contains eight samples of Boots best-selling female fragrances by other brands. The set comes in a small, thin cardboard box and each sample is set inside a plastic insert. You also get a small fragrance guide and the voucher, which is what you’ll need to get your full size bottle of your favourite sample. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker Palette

I bought this palette back when it first launched (summer 2019) and I was interested in it so I could experiment more with bright colours. The colour selection definitely doesn’t disappoint and I was expecting it to be the same quality as the Blood Sugar Palette, if not slightly better! The packaging is quite a large rectangular shape and made out of metallic pink cardboard with colourful dots/dashes all over representing a jawbreaker pattern. The name of the palette is in a slightly raised font. It has a magnetic closing which you lift to reveal the twenty-four eyeshadow pans arranged on a white background. The other side is the same pattern as the front cover with a mirror. You can purchase it for £54.00 ($58.00) from JeffreeStarCosmetics.com and BeautyBay.com. This is the last ever declutter post I will be sharing with you. I have lost interest in really experimenting with my make-up looks so I thought it was time for another declutter. I was a little more brutal than I would have been in previous declutters, but I didn’t go too crazy because I still love looking at what I have and I do still wear most of it.
