Serial Sampler #20

I received this perfume sample for free when I submitted my contact details on a Facebook App, which was offering the free samples. I actually forgot I sent off for one until I received it in the post.

It is Viva La Juicy Bowdacious by Juicy Couture and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.

“Cheeky, playful and forever fantastic. Viva La Juicy Bowdacious invites you into a world of luxe, pink, over-the-top fantasy! The solar fragrance splashes notes of Italian Mandarin while the Tiare flower gives a kiss of sunny skies and is warmed by the creamy addiction of coconut milk”

It contains a mixture notes such as; Italian Mandarin, Tiare Flower, Pear, Melon, Jasmine Sambac, White Ginger Lily, Coconut Milk, Tonka Bean and Driftwood.
When you first spray it on your skin, it does smell exactly like Viva La Juicy, but the coconut milk really starts to come through just after and changes it. It is a lighter fragrance than Viva La Juicy and it does remind me of spring. I thought the coconut milk and driftwood notes would be too overpowering and make me not like it, but I was wrong. I do like this fragrance, but I do prefer Viva La Juicy as it smells sort of sexier. I would recommend this for daytime wear and I think it suits all ages. I would consider purchasing a full sized bottle, but for now I won’t be.

You can buy it in 30ml (£42/$58), 50ml (£52/$79) and 100ml (£72/$99) and it is available at places such as; Boots and Sephora.

Escada Collector's Edition Gift Set

I’ve always been interested in trying Escada fragrances, but there are so many to choose from and I didn’t want to risk buying a full size bottle. I came across this little gift set whilst I was shopping online at Boots and clicked buy straight away! All four fragrances are in a tiny, but cute 4ml potion looking bottle. Here are the four scents you get to try:- TURQUOISE SUMMER This bottle is a turquoise/clear theme and contains the notes; pineapple, strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, peach, violet, orange blossom, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. It smells really strong of orange blossom and kind of like a car air freshener. It does linger quite a while on the skin, but it is not really a strong scent. Overall I don’t like this scent. It doesn’t really smell of anything to me and what you can smell isn’t what I would call pleasant. I give this perfume 1/5 . BORN IN PARADISE This bottle’s theme is the same as Turquoise Summer and contains the notes; green apple, watermelo...

Perfume Power! - Avril Lavigne 'Black Star'

This is my third bottle of this perfume and in the 30ml too. The bottle is designed as a star, which has a black star shaped studded cap. Around the neck of the bottle is a studded metal choker ring, which is removable and wearable for your finger. The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Blackcurrant, Mango, Pear & Black Plum Middle Notes: Jasmine, Lotus & Pink Hibiscus Base Notes: Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla & Dark Mexican Chocolate To me it smells really light, fruity, floral and incredibly feminine. The floral notes stand out to me the most, as well as the musk. All of the notes complement each other very well and it is one of my all-time favourite perfumes. My only criticism is  after a while I cannot smell it on me, but people have said they can still smell it, so it must last longer than your nose leads you to believe! I just personally like to be able to still smell the perfume on me, because it is GORGEOUS! I will definitely keep on re-purchasi...

Blogmas #30 | Empties #12 - December 2013

I have used quite a few Glade candles this month, they are my new love! It’s nice to throw away a few things before the New Year and I hope to use a lot more stuff up next year because I hope to re-decorate my room. Here is what I have used and will be disposing of shortly! Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm Tube in Cherry It has taken me the longest time to use up this lip balm, over a year actually! It is a decent product and what sold me was the scent, it smells amazing. It smells so amazing that not long after purchasing I got two more tubes. It really is moisturising but it does take a while to soak in, which is why I only used it at night and I applied extra. After I’ve used up my other two tubes, I will not be re-purchasing because I actually prefer solid lip balms in stick form because it is not as messy and it tends to soak in a lot quicker. 10g | £2.69 Glade Candle in Brazilian Mango Flower I’ve used up another Glade candle. This one had a really soft scent and I r...
