Serial Sampler #20

I received this perfume sample for free when I submitted my contact details on a Facebook App, which was offering the free samples. I actually forgot I sent off for one until I received it in the post.

It is Viva La Juicy Bowdacious by Juicy Couture and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.

“Cheeky, playful and forever fantastic. Viva La Juicy Bowdacious invites you into a world of luxe, pink, over-the-top fantasy! The solar fragrance splashes notes of Italian Mandarin while the Tiare flower gives a kiss of sunny skies and is warmed by the creamy addiction of coconut milk”

It contains a mixture notes such as; Italian Mandarin, Tiare Flower, Pear, Melon, Jasmine Sambac, White Ginger Lily, Coconut Milk, Tonka Bean and Driftwood.
When you first spray it on your skin, it does smell exactly like Viva La Juicy, but the coconut milk really starts to come through just after and changes it. It is a lighter fragrance than Viva La Juicy and it does remind me of spring. I thought the coconut milk and driftwood notes would be too overpowering and make me not like it, but I was wrong. I do like this fragrance, but I do prefer Viva La Juicy as it smells sort of sexier. I would recommend this for daytime wear and I think it suits all ages. I would consider purchasing a full sized bottle, but for now I won’t be.

You can buy it in 30ml (£42/$58), 50ml (£52/$79) and 100ml (£72/$99) and it is available at places such as; Boots and Sephora.

HUDA BEAUTY Purple Haze Obsessions Palette

I’ve previously only tried one HUDA BEAUTY mini palette before, but this one really caught my eye. I almost bought the Khaki version too. I eventually decided on only picking up the purple one as I wasn’t massively impressed with the Topaz Obsessions Palette I previously tried.   THE PACKAGING The packaging is made of translucent purple plastic and it is square shaped. It just has the palette branding across the front in place of a design and it has a clip closing, which you lift up to reveal the square eyeshadow pans arranged in threes across an opaque matte purple base. The eyeshadows do not have names. There is also a little mirror on the underside of the lid. THE EYESHADOWS & FORMULA You get nine 0.64g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Metallic (ME) and Shimmery Topper (ST) finishes.   ·          Smokey Shades ·          Buttery Mattes ·          Intense Metal...

Serial Sampler #42

I have wanted to try this fragrance for a very long time and I have seen the advertisements with Charlize Theron countless times over the years. For some reason, I just didn’t look for it to test so I thought it was about time I did. I decided to purchase a sample online.   It is J’adore by Christian Dior and it is a 1ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.   “ J’adore’s original composition is a sophisticated harmony blossoming from Comoro Islands Ylang-Ylang and Damascus Rose Essences and Jasmine Sambac Absolute. ” Launched: 1999   Type: Floral Fruity / Feminine Notes Top: Pear, Melon, Magnolia, Peach, Mandarin Orange and Bergamot. Middle: Jasmine, Lily-Of-The-Valley, Tuberose, Freesia, Rose, Orchid, Plum and Violet. Base: Musk, Vanilla, Blackberry and Cedar. My assumption before testing this fragrance is that it would smell like an old classic (old lady) floral. It is very floral, but you do get the hit of the fresh fruity notes. I can mostly detect the Magnoli...
