CERTIFEYE The Eternity Palette

I have seen palettes by Certifeye on BeautyBay.com before and always thought that they looked beautiful, but I haven’t really heard anything about them from beauty influencers so I was sceptical about purchasing one. I decided to purchase the one I knew I would get the most use out of and it is exactly the colour story that attracts me to palettes.

The packaging is quite simple. It is made out of white cardboard and it has a rectangular shape. The design is quite plain, it just says “Do good and good will come to you” across it in a berry brush script font. It has a magnetic closing that you just lift up to reveal the square eyeshadow pans. The pans are arranged in three rows of six and each shade has its name printed underneath it. You can purchase this palette for £30.00 from Certifeye.co.uk and BeautyBay.com.

You get eighteen 1.4g eyeshadows in Matte (M) and Shimmer (S) finishes.

The eyeshadows should be soft and smooth, which will make them super blendable. The eyeshadows should also be very pigmented. This palette is vegan and cruelty free.

I was surprised by the quality of this palette. The shades are ultra-pigmented and are soft and smooth in texture and to apply. The mattes are super easy to blend and the shimmers are pretty. There wasn’t any noticeable fallout, but of course there was kick back in the pans (mostly from the mattes). I still recommend eye primer and glitter glue and shimmer/metallic shades are always best applied wet, with your finger or a stiff flat synthetic brush. The wear time of the mattes is great, but the shimmer shades do fade a little over time. The red shade Lovebug does look more pink when it is blended out, which is a little disappointing but a lot of red shades do tend to be pink based. The red shade Fancy looks the same as it does in the pan when blended out. I have no problems with the mattes but I wish there were a couple more shimmer shades and I wish they were more rich and metallic. Overall I am impressed with this palette, but the shimmers are a little lack lustre in my opinion. I have a couple more Certifeye palettes to test, so I will see if the shimmer formula is any different in those palettes. If you are mostly into matte shades, they do offer a couple of matte only palettes. I think they just need to up their shimmer game as that is my favourite formula (metallic to be more specific).

Boots.com Haul #2 + Blog Sale Purchase

I thought I would share a haul with you today. I haven’t done one for a while but I recently ordered a few items from Boots and I wanted to let you know about it. I bought the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette , which includes two sample sachets of the deep cleansing gel. I have been waiting for something like this and I cannot wait to try it. I simply refuse to buy the Sigma version, plus I don’t think it needs to be that big. I also got a packet of the Oral-B Precision Clean Electric Toothbrush Heads because they were on offer and I got eight for the price of four. I got four tubes of the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Hand Sanitiser because I absolutely love the scent and I wanted to put them in difference rooms so they are always to hand when needed. I bought a back-up of the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation , which is my favourite foundation and I use the shade 010 Light Porcelain. Lastly, I got the Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel in Clear. It is the second tube I...

Serial Sampler #31

This is a new perfume release for this year. I came across it by pure chance when I was asked to choose some free samples when I made a FeelUnique.com order. This scent was one of the two I chose to receive. It is Irresistible by GIVENCHY and it is a 1ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum. “ Rose effervescent. Luscious rose dancing with radiant blond wood ” It contains a mixture of notes such as; Pear, Ambrette, Rose, Iris, Virginia Cedar and Musk. When it is first sprayed, it kind of smells like soap. As it starts to dry down, it still smells slightly soapy but the ambrette, rose, iris and musk notes start to peek through. Once it has fully dried down it smells less soapy and more florally. It is definitely a more soft mature scent. It does smell nice, fresh and does remind me of spring. It isn’t a scent I am typically drawn to, so I probably will not buy a bottle of it. I would say the ambrette, rose and musk are the strongest notes. You can buy it in 35ml (...

Serial Sampler #32

I received this perfume sample for FREE when I spent over a certain amount of money on a LookFantastic.com order. I actually purchased the full sized bottle (90ml) of the Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau de Parfum.   It is My Way by Armani and it is a 1.2ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.   It contains a mixture of notes such as; Bergamot, Orange Blossom, Tuberose, Indian Jasmine, Madagascar Vanilla, White Musk and Virginian Cedar. This strikes me as a mature scent. It smells like something I have tested before, but I can’t quite recall the name of it. It is a very delicate and light fragrance and is definitely floral based. It is not my typical scent, but I do appreciate it. I can really smell the bergamot, tuberose, jasmine and musk notes. I would recommend it, but I personally wouldn’t wear it.   You can buy it in 30ml (£55/$74), 50ml (£76/$97) and 90ml (£103/$126) and it is available at places such as; ArmaniBeauty.co.uk and Sephora.   | I received this sampl...
