This palette is in collaboration with
Jackie Aina, who is a Beauty Influencer on YouTube. It is mean’t to be limited
edition, but it has been out almost a year now and it is still for sale. I feel
like it didn’t quite get it’s full moment and time to shine as the Carli Bybel
(also a Beauty Influencer on YouTube) collaboration palette was released not
long after. Up until the pandemic hit, Anastasia Beverly Hills were known for
quickly putting out new products with little time left in between new launches.
Nevertheless, this palette does look beautiful.
The packaging is the usual ABH slim
rectangle shape and it is made out of metallic faux leather and has a crocodile
scale print. The base of the print is a kind of nude shade and it reflects
green, blue, pink, yellow, orange and purple. Almost like a duo-chrome
eyeshadow. It has a magnetic closing which you lift up to reveal the inside.
The inside has a black base containing the small square eyeshadow pans, the
shade names are written in gold underneath each pan. There is also a mirror on
the underside of the lid. It is a
limited edition product available for £46.00 ($45.00) from
AnastasiaBeverlyHills.co.uk, AnastasiaBeverlyHills.com and BeautyBay.com.

The following shades are Pressed
Pigments and are not intended for use around the immediate eye area; Supreme,
Pinker and Big Wig. Pressed pigments can cause temporary staining to the
area of skin they are applied to.
You also get a dual ended eyeshadow brush;
A12 Small Contour Brush and A3 Firm Shader Brush.
There are not really any claims for
this palette, but I am expecting the shades to be vibrant and extremely
pigmented. I am also expecting them to blend easily. There should be some kick
back in the eyeshadow pans, but I am not expecting lots of fallout on my face.
The palette is cruelty-free, but not vegan (contains Carmine).
This palette is amazing quality and I love the packaging. The
eyeshadows are extremely pigmented, blend easily and seamlessly and are long
wearing. I always recommend using a sticky base/eye primer to enhance the
eyeshadows. I didn’t really notice any staining from the pressed pigment
shades; this may be down to using a base. You will always get kick-back in the
eyeshadow pans, mostly from the matte shades and it can seem like a lot. I only
got a little fall-out from the metallic shades, especially the shade Zamn, which I wasn’t expecting from the
first use of it. I recommend applying glitter glue before using Zamn, as it has more of a cream and
glitter texture and you really want it to stick to your eye and the other
metallic shades will pop more if used wet. I find using a stiff flat synthetic
brush or your finger is the best way to apply the metallic shades.
My favourite shades are Zamn and Trust Issues. Zamn is
absolutely stunning and very reflective and Trust Issues looks like a frosty white in the pan but on the eye it
is a beautiful sort of duo-chrome gold and it is the perfect inner corner
highlight shade. There are no downsides for me with this palette, but some
people would miss the fact that there isn’t a light matte shade to set your
base with or use under the brow bone. I never set my eye base and I can always
use a different eyeshadow for under my brow if Trust Issues looks too intense there.
This is without a doubt, the best ABH
palette I’ve used so far! I have previously owned the Couture World Traveller,
Norvina and Modern Renaissance Palettes and I currently have the Riviera
Palette and this palette beats all of those! I would still really like to try
the Carli Bybel and Amrezy Collaboration Palettes, but I think I will hold off
for now. I am also interested in the ABH Norvina Volume 4 Palette, but I
believe the formula is mean’t to be different and it is extremely expensive!!
Overall I am so glad that I decided to pick up the Jackie Aina Palette and I
100% recommend it.
