Blogmas #11 | e.l.f Haul #6

There was a 50% off offer (when you spent £20) on eyeslipsface.co.uk and I just had to take advantage of it. The sale had been on a few days before I got there, so I didn’t get as much stuff as I thought I would. A few shades of some of the items I wanted were sold out! I still bought some new things and everything I bought is new to me, so you should expect quite a few e.l.f reviews next year!

I bought items from each of the three lines e.l.f currently has. From the essential line I bought two Lip Balm Tints in Berry and Peach, Clarifying Pressed Powder in Ivory and an Eyeshadow Brush. From the mineral line I bought two Mineral Lipsticks in Barely Bitten and Ripe Rose and a Mineral Eyeliner in Midnight. And lastly from the studio line I bought a Baked Eyeshadow in Pixie, a Blush in Blushing Rose and a pack of Lotion Wipes in Cucumber & Melon.

I am very much looking forward to trying out these products, especially the lip balm tints. Hopefully in the New Year, the website will be re-stocked and I can get what I couldn’t this time.

Perfume Power! - DKNY 'Be Delicious'

Photo: FashionDayDreams.com My Mum went to a car boot sale and found this and bought it. My Mum didn’t like it so she gave it to my sister and then my sister gave it to me. The bottle is a sphere shape inspired by an apple. On the smaller sizes the cap is basic like on most perfumes and is made of silver reflective plastic. The bottle base is made of translucent bottle green glass. On the bigger sizes the cap doesn’t come off and it is the actual dispenser, so when you press it down the perfume sprays. The fragrance notes are:- Top Notes: Grapefruit, Cucumber & Magnolia Middle Notes: Tuberose, Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley, Violet & Green Apple Base Notes: Sandalwood, Amber & Wood This perfume smells fruity, floral and fresh and the apple scent really stands out. It is also quite a strong scent, but it is not overpowering. I also think that it is quite universal as it is not sweet. Lastly because the scent is quite strong, it lasts quite a long time...

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

I received this product as part of the Oz: The Great and Powerful Theodora Palette, which also includes a lipgloss crayon. I am going to review this product as a whole, even though I only have it in one shade. This looks like a standard eyeliner pencil, but the design is a lot nicer looking. The majority of them have the silver lid, but I have noticed that a couple of the shades have a different colour lid. Each barrel of each pencil is a different colour, to clearly show the colour of each shade. Zero is a soft black shade and it is not the darkest black Urban Decay do. This shade is part of the regular line and mine is the 0.8g sample size, the full sized product is 1.2g. Like the majority of pencil eyeliners, you have to sharpen it to dispense more product and the formula is smooth and creamy. Escada Collector's Edition Gift Set

I’ve always been interested in trying Escada fragrances, but there are so many to choose from and I didn’t want to risk buying a full size bottle. I came across this little gift set whilst I was shopping online at Boots and clicked buy straight away! All four fragrances are in a tiny, but cute 4ml potion looking bottle. Here are the four scents you get to try:- TURQUOISE SUMMER This bottle is a turquoise/clear theme and contains the notes; pineapple, strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, peach, violet, orange blossom, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. It smells really strong of orange blossom and kind of like a car air freshener. It does linger quite a while on the skin, but it is not really a strong scent. Overall I don’t like this scent. It doesn’t really smell of anything to me and what you can smell isn’t what I would call pleasant. I give this perfume 1/5 .
