Blogmas #2 | Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains

When I first heard of these I knew they would be perfect for me. I played it safe with the first shade I bought and knew I would eventually and gradually work my way through the colours to try to be more comfortable with brighter colours with a more understated and low maintenance finish.
The packaging is a chubby crayon with a plastic barrel and each barrel is a different colour, which corresponds to the product shade. It has a silver band around the base of the barrel, which you have to turn to dispense the crayon and the plastic cap of the crayon matches the colour of each barrel. When you twist the band to dispense the product, you can see 3.3cm of the actual crayon, but there could be more hiding in the tube and you would just have to use up what you can see to find out for sure. The formula is light and glossy and it has a slight minty scent.
I have two shades called, Honey (001), which is a warm dusty rose with shine and Cherish (015), which is a bright pale pink with shine.
This chubby lip crayon is supposed to be lightweight and moisturising, as well as making your lips feel soft and smooth. It should add a flush of colour, which can easily be built up and it should leave a tint/stain and last hour after hour.

I really do like this product! The packaging is really nice and easy to use and the scent of the crayon is quite pleasant too. It is lightweight and makes your lips feel soft and smooth. They offer a bit of moisture, but not as much as you would expect from a balm. They are not at all sticky, but they are slightly tacky, which helps the product stick to your lips. The two shades I have are super pigmented and can add a slight sheer flush of colour to full on colour. The shades are very buildable and are shiny and glossy, like a lipgloss. They last for around two hours, without refreshments and afterwards leave behind a beautiful stain/tint.

Overall this is a definite staple product for me and I hope Revlon bring out even more shades in the future.

Perfume Power! - Next 'Paradise'

I first smelt this perfume after receiving it in a mini gift set about ten years ago and I have loved it ever since. This 100ml size is my first bottle of it though, other than the tester/sample size. The bottle is quite tall and it is a sort of clutch bag shape if you turn it on its side. The bottle is a simple design and you can easily see how much perfume you have. On mine the spray pump sometimes gets stuck in the band around the neck of the bottle, but the problem is easily solved. I can’t find a specific note list anywhere for this perfume, but on Next’s site it is described as, "a light fruity fragrance with white florals and green notes". To me it smells really fruity and fresh. It is also multifunctional because it is quite strong and sexy, so perfect for a night out, but it is also not too overpowering and smells fresh and fruity enough for day time wear. It is actually an eau de toilette, which means that it is less concentrated, but I find that it is st...

e.l.f Studio Cream Eyeliners

A while back I decided I wanted to try a different type of eyeliner because liquid wasn’t working so well for me, so I decided to look into cream/gel eyeliners. I had heard about the e.l.f one before and decided I would give it ago, plus I was already into e.l.f products and I had never experienced anything negative from the brand. I’ve tried four shades and they are Black , which is a dark charcoal black, Coffee , which is a matte medium toned coffee brown and Punk Purple , which is a metallic deep royal. I had to throw all three away for reasons I will explain. The packaging is a cube shaped clear plastic container with a black plastic lid. You have to twist the lid to get it off and it is mean’t to be air tight. You also get a free small angled eyeliner brush with each shade. The formula is dryer than gel eyeliners because it is cream based and the formula is not really glossy looking. You get 4.7g of product in each container. This product is mean’t to give you s...
