I have now finished unboxing my LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar for this year. There were some great products and some not so great products, for my tastes anyway!. The products in the calendar should be worth £460.00 altogether.

MY OVERALL THOUGHTS
I did enjoy unboxing this calendar, although I did come across a couple of spoilers on social media which was annoying. I know I lot of people unboxed their calendars straight away but I wanted to unbox mine like I would a chocolate calendar (day-by-day). I’m glad there was only one hair product, as you know I don’t do hair products. I’m not overly keen on body care products either, but there weren’t too many and two of them were actually body washes (which I do like). The bulk of the products were skincare related, which I kind of expected because the LF Beauty Boxes are also like this. I didn’t really get any repeated items from LF Beauty Boxes, apart from the Molton Brown body wash, but it is a different scent to the one I received in a LFBB. I’m really glad I got a mini of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Brag Volumising Mascara, as I was looking at purchasing it in the future to test out anyway. I was surprised to see the Natasha Denona Blush Glow Duo, it isn’t the sort of product I would use but it is a great addition. I kind of wish there was a sort of eyeshadow palette (a mini would do) included. I got a 3INA The Cream Eyeshadow, but I never use cream eyeshadows, I prefer powders. I kind of hoped for a Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow quad, but LookFantastic don’t sell Charlotte Tilbury products.
 
Overall, I am happy that I decided to purchase my first ever beauty advent calendar and I am glad I chose LookFantastic, not just for the discount. The difference between how much I paid versus how much the products are worth is incredible! I would recommend that cosmetic/skincare lovers look at purchasing the 2021 version (Pre-order August/September 2021). I’m not overly certain that I will purchase the 2021 version, but we will see. If I do, I will do the twenty-five day unboxing posts for you again.

BY BEAUTY BAY New Romantic Palette

I first saw the tease post of this palette on Beauty Bay’s Instagram page on 29 th January and it was a black and white photo, so you couldn’t see the colour story but some of the shades names were a little bit of a giveaway to some possible shades (Raspberry, Flamingo and Khaki etc). This is the second day of my LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar for Christmas 2020 unboxing. Yesterday I unboxed the Natasha Denona Blush Glow Duo .   Today, I unboxed the LUXIE 522 Tapered Highlighter Brush .   ABOUT This is a full sized brush in the rose gold and chic pink theme worth £19.00.   ·         Soft ·         Synthetic Bristles ·         Cruelty-Free MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS I’ve tried LUXIE brushes in the past that I have received in beauty boxes and the bristles always seem to be of good quality. The overall design of this brush is very nice and the bristles are very soft, but still firm enough for decent application. It is slightly larger than the highlighter brushes I usually use, but it still blends over the cheekbones very nicely. Serial Sampler #34

I’ve had this sample for a while now and I’ve only just decided to test it. I also have another sample of a spin-off scent from the same fragrance line, which I will post soon.   It is Candy by PRADA and it is a 1.5ml spritzer sample of the eau de parfum.   “ Prada Candy combines exceptionally high-quality ingredients in excessive proportions. Magnified by musks, noble benzoin comes together with a modern caramel accord to give the fragrance a truly unique signature ” Launched: 2011   Type: Oriental Vanilla Notes Top: Caramel. Middle: Musk and Powder. Base: Benzoin and Vanilla. I wasn’t expecting to like this fragrance when I looked at the notes and I was right! It smells kind of woody (burnt wood) and like celery. It is most definitely a spicy oriental scent and it is not me at all. It is quite strong, but it isn’t overpowering. I would say it is a unisex scent as it isn’t sweet.
