LOOKFANTASTIC Advent Calendar 2020 | Unboxing - Day 8

This is the eighth day of my LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar for Christmas 2020 unboxing. Yesterday I unboxed the REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic.
 
Today, I unboxed the EVE LOM Cleanser.

MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS
It is suggested that you use this cleanser before your skincare routine, morning and evening. You can use it to remove your make-up or as part of a double cleanse process. The directions say to warm a small amount of cleanser between your fingers and use circular movements to massage on dry skin. Then place a muslin cloth in hot water and wring out. Press the muslin cloth onto your face and hold for five seconds, repeat this three times and then rinse the muslin cloth in the water and use it to remove all of your make-up. You should then rinse the cloth in cold water and place it onto your face again for five seconds to close your pores. Then gently pat to dry your face with a clean cloth. It seems like a complicated method for removing make-up to me. I just use a make-up eraser cloth with warm water to remove my make-up. It is good that it has a dual purpose of removing make-up and cleansing your face. If you buy this product, you actually get a free muslin cloth with it, even with the 20ml deluxe size. I don’t know if mine is missing or whether I don’t get one because it came inside a calendar and not a proper product box. I’m not sure this is a product I am really interested in, but I might give it a try as a cleanser and not make-up remover.

KALEIDOS Futurism VII: Sashimi City Palette

This was the futurism palette that I was the most excited about trying. It’s the one that has the most cohesive colour story to me and I do love me some warm neutrals! I still have three more futurism palettes to test out and I can’t wait. THE PACKAGING The packaging is a long thin rectangle shape and the concept reminds me of a wardrobe. Jeffree Star Cosmetics

I am reviewing some Jeffree Star Cosmetics products I recently picked up from BeautyBay.com. For those that don’t know, Jeffree Star is a Beauty YouTuber who has his own make-up brand. I have only recently become a fan and I can’t quite remember how! I like his make-up videos because they are honest and when he does tutorials it is like he is actually teaching you. I dislike the voiceover/quick cut edited tutorials most YouTubers create. He mostly uses really expensive high end products, but he is up front about it and it isn’t because he is snobby. I think he mentioned that he had some bad experiences with drugstore products when he first started out with make-up, so the higher end brands tended to be more quality made. As we all know, the quality of make-up has dramatically changed over the years, so he is gradually trying out more drugstore brands on his channel.
